Too much Rain!!!!

Post by JJ »

Hi....The rain hasn't stopped in several days...it has caused flooding of rivers and urban flooding too. My basement is partially flooded...Last night, I gave up mopping....sigh...I am going to try to send you a picture of an office here at my school. The director of technology sent this to us...hahaha...(not really funny)....but check-out the water level in her window well. The rainfall here is of Biblical proportion.Image

We are getting the headlines here of the terrible flooding and mudslides out there and my prayers are with you that the only damage that happens is some water. Have been through a flood in 1980 when the river behind out house put 6 feet of water in the house. Not a pretty site but everyone came out safely.

Take care and if you are told to leave, DO IT. Better to be safe.

Love, Maggie

Hi...It finally stopped raining this afternoon. I spent some more time downstairs. I found that a big push broom worked well...I got the flow going towards the drain on the other side of the room. Luckily the floor is sloped just enough to keep a little stream going. I will need to do some more tomorrow, but I made respectable progress this afternoon! Nite night....JJ

Hiya Jill,

It has been terrible! I'm sure you have seen the news......those poor folks that live on the Sandy river. Their homes are literally falling into the river...their back yards are being washed away.

The sun is out today but they expect more rain tomorrow!

Hugs my friend.....stay dry!

Hi Lori...I heard that Oregon was getting hit hard too...I feel so sad for all those folks who have been washed-out. Sigh...like you said..here comes another storm...it's supposed to be a doozy...lots of snow in the mountains too..then next week, it will warm up and more floods!

Stay dry...JJ
