It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I had a wonderful day. I made my husband drive me around all day doing errands, and then we went out for a early dinner. I even got a birthday dessert (which we took home) and he's eating it right now. A good day all around. AND he gave me the super heavy duty Jack LaLane juicer, so he's going to try juice recipes with me starting tomorrow. I'm not sure he realizes they're healthy.
I'm glad you enjoyed your day. May you have many, many more!
Love,
Mars

Glad you had a great day Marsha. Lucky you, heavy duty juicer...that's a very cool and appropriate gift and your right, he might not realize the healthy benefits yet but I'd bet soon he will be wanting carrot juice drinks each morning.
Thanks to much for your contributions to our group.
I found a great cookbook for you and for a lot of us here. It's called Taste Pure and Simple by Michel Nischan. At least half the recipes are Palio and another quarter could be easily manipulated to be. For some of his recipes, he uses a juicer for fruits then reduces them with chicken stocks to make sauces for meats. He also juices sweet potatoes and yukon gold potatoes and adds them to chicken stock reductions to make healthy gravies. My mouth just waters reading his cookbook.
