Saturday Morning

Post by kate_ce1995 »

MOrning all! Well, the sun is burning off the overcast haze we've had the last several days, and it is supposed to shape up to be a fairly good weekend. I'm off in a few to "ride" the Alumni Day parade here in town (Community Band doesn't march...just rides a flat bed  )...My class doesn't appear to be doing anything this year despite it being 15 years...a bit hard to believe for me....heck, I've been out of college for 10 too, which doesn't seem possible. I remember my dad having his 25th reunion the year I graduated and thinking it sounded like so many...but I'm over half wya there. Of course he is going to his 40th this year.

Then we are off for BJ's to get food for Father's Day. Everyone is coming to our house tomorrow. Should be fun. The weather is going to be good, the lawn is mostly mowed (can finish today), the horseshoe pit stakes are in and at the same elevation (hee hee....Geoff is very thankful he knows an engineer with a level) which in Vermont is a miracle in and of itself, we have the volleyball/badmitton net up, and will set croquet up as well.

Okay, if I want coffee, I'd better get moving. Dunkin Donuts is painfully slow, and I've got to meet the flat bed in about a half an hour.

Have a good one.

Wow! You'e got an ambitious weekend planned. I like the way you're starting out, though, riding in a parade rather than having to march in it. It doesn't get much better than that.

It "sounds" as though you're feeling good--that's the main thing.

I suspect you've got us beat on the weather this weekend--the high temps are predicted to be 100 here, both days.

Enjoy,
Tex

Barbara, My sister-in-law quite school also, but she always gets invited to the reunions. I always wondered how she managed that????

Your weekend does sound busy & lots of fun! Our class didn't have a 15 year either and we weren't able to go to our 20!

Have fun!
