Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Love, Jill
Hi Jill,
The board's pretty quiet today. I guess everyone's busy making Thanksgiving dinner, or visiting friends and relatives, or otherwise enjoying the holiday, (except for some of our non-U. S. members, who have to work today).
I'll join you in wishing a happy, healthy Thanksgiving holiday for one and all.
I see that the weather in your part of the world is still wet, wet, wet. I hope it eventually begins to settle down. We could use the rain down here in Texas.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Back at you Jill!
I hope everyone had a great Holiday! I had lasagne for my Thanksgiving dinner....YUMMMMM! One of my fav's & probably has as many calories as a turkey dinner. Someone please tell me it doesn't. Hehe!
Hugs and Love to all!

Hi....Tex...there was actually some wet snow mixed-in with the rain today, and they are talking about lowland snow here in the next few days..mainly on Monday. Our mountains are getting a big "dump" of snow...wow...amazing...very early! We have almost broken the record for the rainiest November in history! Wish I could send some your way. I actiually love the rain, but would love some snow even more!

Yup, busy off visiting...
We had Thanksgiving with my parents, my sister, my Aunt and Uncle and my Grandmother, and my 9-year-old cousin. After dinner there we picked up the girls from their Mom's and went up to Geoff's parents for the evening. Lots of visiting but a good time.
I ate gf well. I made a loaf of Gluten Free Pantry sandwich bread which works pretty well for stuffing, my sister relented and did the gravey with corn starch (even though it tastes the same, she doesn't like the look of it because it's clearish compared to when thickened with flour) and Mom made one of the pumpkin pies without a crust so I had pie filling. And of course we had the rest of the spread...turkey, greenbeans with almonds, carrots, whole cranberry sauce, cranberry orange relish (both sweetened with honey so my aunt could eat them...she is intolerant of sucrose), mashed potato...I guess that was it.
We went for a short walk through the woods behind my parent's house after dinner to help it all settle. My 87 year old grandmother is still as sure-footed as ever (well, not quite, but she handled the stream crossing very well). It's hard to not to assume she be here forever, but at 87, I know that isn't the reality. But she is the one in our family that if anyone makes it to 100, it will be her. At 80 she bought new snowshoes and justified the expense saying "if I live to 100 I'll get a good 20 years use out of them!". I don't know if she still snowshoes, but she still hikes all over tarnation. At least a couple of times a week she hikes to the mall through the woods to get lunch. Its like 3-4 miles one way!
Anyway, hope you all had a good one too. And Peg, Christmas is just around the corner...your next turkey is coming soon! (we'll do a ham dinner for Christmas).

Hi All!
Hope everyone enjoyed yesterday! We went to the ocean and were greeted with a huge 'nor-easter' - winds up to 60 mph, sheets of rain, etc. I still haven't dried out. We came back a day early, thank goodness.
Katy, my MIL is like your gm. She is 91 and actually beat my hubby in a game of miniature golf yesterday (an INSIDE golf course, of course). Also, congrats on your successful GF eating! I am so proud of you. Are you feeling any better?
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
