A small favor....Please

Post by Carol Arnett »

Hi folks,

One of the women I work with has a son in Iraq. This is his second tour even though he is only 22 years old...he volunteered for the first tour.
They are a poor family due to medical bills...Sherri has Chrons Disease.
In any case they can`t send him much for Christmas so our store is "adopting" him for the holidays.

With that taken care of the next thing is Christmas cards. I was wondering if any of you might be interesed in sending him one. I would love to see him get tons. He also has a best friend named Robert, who`s address I don`t have so I am putting a card in with Nicks for him. Sherri said he only gets maybe three peices of mail a month.

If you can, his address is as follows:

CPL Sullin, Nicholas
VMFA (AW) 242/Power Line
UIC 41031
FPO AP 96426-1031

I think that even if most people do not support the war, they do support and appreciate our troops. Thank you one and all.
Love, Carol

Hi Carol,

Sure thing. Will do. Maybe Sheri could use a few cards, too.

Incidentally, if you would rather not post any addresses where the entire world can see them, you can post them in the "Contact Information" forum, where only members with special permission can see them, and then mention here, where to find them. In the case of military personnel, it probably doesn't matter, since that's only a temporary address, anyway.

I'm assigning a priority status to your topic, so that it will stay at the top of the page. This will make it easier for everyone to find the address when they need it, if they wish to send a card.

Thank you for your thoughtful topic.

Love,
Tex

Oma said it well, "a priviledge" to send him one. His friend also.

Yes, I will certainly send a card to Nic and his friend. My son was in the Gulf Ware at a young age also he was a helicopter pilot and I know the heart ache and worry it can be.
Its an honour to support our troops.

We would love sending him a card but, forgive me if I do not understand the address.

Do we have to write a country after all the details you have listed? Because I am sure the Post Office will ask me (regarding the stamps).

Thank you.

Address

Hi Tessa....I believe that all mail going to any armed forces group goes to a central location and then gets distributed. Thanks for you concern, though. Carol
