Vitamin Q---need some opinions--PLEASE-& MAMMO

Post by barbaranoela »

, my last blood work(@ home) once again showed low IRON---but Kozin isnt overly concerned--- couldnt prove it by me from what he wrote on the card---
I cannot take Iron pills nor the Slo eze-time released(walgreens) cus within an hour I am *running-rapids* So that solves that!!

So he told me to buy Vitamin pills with Iron added--
Well I did----I bought Theragran-M(suggested by my pharmacist @ home-knowing my issues )

They are *RED* coated tablets---I started them 2 dayz ago---
1. Xtremely bloated--burping and mushy stools--
2. feeling upset in tummy(do take with evening meal)
3. this is what I want to know---and I hope it doesnt sound stupid---I seem to either be having a bit of BLOOD(the following morning OR could it be the coloring of the TABLET????or are these tablets just irritating my inners???
4. Louie,of course, thinks I am NEUROTIC asking this but HEY--when I need help this is where I come~~~~

Sooooooooo--out the window go the vitamins with Iron--cus I felt like crap on them and back to my Viactive Vitamins--

OK~~~~ now the real upsetting news----got a call from GYN(@ home) and I have to have another mammo done here---cus a nodule was spotted on my left breast----
Of course she knows I had surgery in 75, for some clean out and 2 years ago I had a mis-reading from this schmuck I USED to go to--
This is the GYN that absconded with zillions of monies--and left his patients stranded---some very sick with cancer----
And last year's reading was *OK* but when U hear a report like this I am ready to hit the *throne*
When I get back----no matter what is found here---I must have another-
My scare is the 2 melanomas I had surgeically removed sine 2004!! Ihave a lung X-ray every year cus my Derma. wants to be on TOP of this--(spreading)

I am not to happy a camper---damn--damn-damn

Hi Barbara,

I used to take Theragran-M vitamins, but I had to switch brands because I can't find 'em around here anymore. They never caused me any problems, but it sounds like they don't agree with you at all.

I never noticed any red coloring with BMs, but your metabolism might be different. Also, I suppose it's possible that they might be causing enough irritation to initiate bleeding. I once had a special coating for popcorn cause me to bleed, years ago. (It came with Orville Redenbacker popcorn).

I know it's easy for me to say, but I wouldn't be overly concerned about the mammogram results - they're notorious for false positives. Did you happen to read this article about the problems with those exams?

http://www.perskyfarms.com/phpBB2/viewt ... mammograms

According to that report, for every woman whose life is extended because of early discovery and treatment, another 200 women will be told about a suspicious finding on a mammogram that further testing reveals to be noncancerous, and 10 more will be needlessly subjected to treatment for cancer, when no cancer was actually present.

Please don't let them stampede you into worrying about it needlessly.

Hi Barbara,

DEEP BREATHS!!

I cannot tolerate iron and it just sends my guts into fits. I take Nutri-100 from the Vitamin Shoppe and it is a huge pill and time released but sometimes it even bothers me. I just hate multi-vitamins. I have used Vitamin Shoppe since the beginning of CC since it has not wheat, yeast and is vegan.

Also, will offer up prayers for the mammo but they have scared the heck out of me a couple of time but it is good to be harboring on the side of safe.

The 2 of you definitely need to enjoy some of this time away and I think you can do it by shutting off the phone.

Love, Maggie

Thanks all for the opinions~~~~which are always appreciated--

Sometimes I think to myself----DONT do it Barbara!!! but one always figures maybe this will be OK---

And I have seen the articles on mammos---
All reports are being Faxes to my DR. here in AZ. and I will go and have another done---

AND---we just received a notice that our insurance is only allowing PAPS every 2 years!!!!! unless it be a real necessity--well I know my GYN will settle that---

Keep healthy--see your doctor--have your yearly check-ups!!!! RIGHT--
guess the Insurances dont think so!!!!!

Anyway, being so upset----for lunch I had a pint of ice cream and a bar of Dark Chocolate----talk about feeling like up-chucking---hahahah--

and My emoticons arent opening--

will say to Luigi----SO WHAT DID U TOUCH HERE--HUH????
U will get it~~~~~

Hi Barbara,

I noticed a post yesterday where you mentioned that your emoticons were not animated, but before I could submit my response, the topic disappeared. For a while, thought that I had somehow accidentally deleted it, but then it finally dawned on me that you had probably deleted it. You scared me again. LOL.

I had that same problem with emoticons not being animated, some time back, but I never did figure out why, or what I did to fix them. LOL. It may be another case that can be resolved by deleting all the cookies in your browser, and then closing and re-opening your browser.

I've had numerous scares with Mammo's and luckily they turned out to be nothing - better safe than sorry though. Take care and take some deep breaths (as Maggie said) and you'll get through this!

My love to you and positive vibes that the tests come back ok!

Love,
Mars
