Everyday house stuff for *healing*---INTERESTING

Post by barbaranoela »

A few posts back, someone posted a url to go and read up on HONEY and CINNAMON---
A few of us did and I copied the pages that these household items can be used for---
This was the first thing I used it on----and IT WORKED!!!

I mixed equal amounts of honey and cinnamon(into a pasty thing)(also pretty TASTY too  ) and applied it to the psorasis that have cropped up on my legs----AND IT WORKED----after 3 days I have nice clear skin--gotta keep the spots covered cus its kinda *sticky*----

I think of all the $$$ I spent on prescription meds. and also shots --I wanna

Next its to use on my hair. to see if I can make it thicker---Who knows I might grow a BEARD--

Give it a try----I was amazed--

Had a quiet day----Kris got here around 12 noon---and she read a bit and then went into her bedroom to rest!!!

Well tis 5pm and she is sound asleep!!Guess this means she will be up all night on the puter--
This kid is a definite *night-owl*

Kait seems to be improving--- :festive: and she is eager to get home with her :cat2: --

Willard gave us an update and he has good feelings about this new procedure---wouldnt that be the best news I would have to report!!!!

till then keep a smile,
luv Barbara

Honey and cinnamon in your HAIR ???? Oh Lord. And where is poor Lou going to sleep? Do you wear this gunk all day and all night?

I wonder if it would work on my warts?

OMG, were you supposed to make it into a paste! Holy cow, I added hot water and :coffee2: . It tasted quite good but the texture :vomit2:. I went and bought some capsules. I heard it was suppose to help with metabolism. Phooey, isn't working yet...

Thanks for the tip Barb. I get a rash on my legs and sometimes on my arms. I know what you mean about all the $$$ for creams etc.
I will try this!

Hi Barbara,

Great idea - the power of cinnamon is pretty awesome. Bet you it would work on poison ivy too.

Kitchen Pharmacy

Post by Momster »

I have been looking through my books and haven't found it yet, but I have a book somewhere called the Kitchen Pharmacy and it has lots of natural remedies like that.
I'm also looking for that other book on relieving stress, but haven't found either yet. Still cleaning up my little room, so hopefully will find them soon.

The honey and cinnamon sounds interesting. It's do almost anything to stop losing my hair. It comes out at an alarming rate every time I wash it and it's getting scary. The Dr. doesn't seem to have an answer - she suggested Rogaine, but it hasn't done anything for me yet. I've also cut back drastically on my prescription meds and suffer more pain, but just hate the side effects from them. I still take acetaminophen with codeine for pain and can't seem to function unless I take that, but maybe it's taking a toll on my body. Anyway, I'm going to try to find that kitchen pharmacy book and see if there is anything there for hair loss.

Love - Momster

Momster,

I just love that picture of you and our Pegster! Its beautiful just beautiful!

Hair loss is a sign of thyroid & adrenal issues, oh and also stress, anemia and post pregnancy. Someone also told me it can happen after a surgery but I haven't looked into that.

Hugs! Lori
