Decision Made

Post by kate_ce1995 »

WEll, Friday I had a very bad afternoon. It was the feelings of an anxiety attack and I didn't have any food to blame it on. It was the worst I've had in the last several months.

So on Monday I will call my doc and get back on meds for this. I have to get my life back under control. Right now everything seems far from control. It's going to be a tough week at work as I have a ton to do, but I am on vacation the week after that.

Now the decision as to whether to start the meds immediately or to wait until my holiday and school vacation babysitting responsibilities are over. I had a horrible time with the side effects when I started on Effexor before. I think she may give me something else though.

Gotta go, we're going Christmas light looking.

Hi Katy. Does your doctor know about the side effects that you experienced with Effexor? If so she may very well give you something else.

Because of the side effects of many anti depressants it may be better to wait until after your holiday. Baby sitting would certainly not make the situation any better if you have bad side effects. Just talk to your doctor about it. She may give you something that you can take in the interim that would not effect you too much & still make you feel better & allow you to enjoy your holiday.

Good luck

Hi Katy,

Ask your doc about Welbutrin. I am on Welbutrin & the lowest dose of Effexor. My doc has talked about taking me off Effexor and just keeping Welbutrin.

My doc also mentioned a new one that is supposed to be beneficial in assisting with aches and pains as well as treating depression. I can't remember the name.....darn it!

I feel for you, its not fun to be out of control of your life and emotions. At times I honestly thought I was losing my mind.

I am praying you will get what you need to get better.

Hugs!
