I received this email from Tamara Brighty

For those of you that might remember Tamara Brighty from our old web group. I received this email from her and her little boy Tyler is about to have surgery. If you remember he had lots of medical issues. I thought they could use our thoughts and prayers. This poor girl has been through so much in her life. She certainly should be commended on her courage & strength.

Here is her email:
I just wanted to let everyone know that Tyler's open heart surgery has been scheduled for December 26th, day after Christmas. The surgean is going to repair his compressed airway, his buldging aorta and his enlarged artery as well. He will be in Fairfax Childrens Hospital in the ICU for 3-4 days and if all goes well he will be released from that unit to come home. Tyler will have a 2-3 month recovery as they will be breaking his chestbone to get to the heart and other areas needed repairing. There is talk of transfusion and risks but I wont know anything else about them until Friday the 22nd when we go to Fairfax for them to take some of his blood (intended for transfusion if needed and lab work). I will email everyone later that night once I find out more. I also will be staying at the nhospital with Tyler during his stay but will have my cellphone with me.
