Paging Marsha~~~
Good mid-morning
Nothing new with me----I have positional VERTIGO--@ times--
One is I cannot bend over the sink and wash hair----
Or getting a pot/pan under the cabinets--gotta kneel down and like *sneak* in and grab the item---
This has been many years now----when I complained about it---went to ENT but NATURALLY I had to have an MIR done---to rule out tumors etc!!!
Its something with the little *folicles* in each *ear* that keep U balanced!!!
Now---I do think that my YOGA has helped me----cus the bending and etc. we do---hasnt bothered me---a few times it did(certain poses) so I just stop---stand/sit until it passes!!

Hey Barb,
Do you get dizzy; or do you get faint, or both?
Is it any time you get up rapidly from a resting position, like in the morning, when you get out of bed?
Just wondering, Marsha

Marsha~~~~~I *dont* get to the fainting point---and I would have to say--sometimes dizzy--but mostly lighheaded---and I just stand still till it passes----a few seconds ---
Again----sometimes if I get up fast~~~(from sleeping position) I might feel a little spin----- I do use 2 pillows---but I always have--
Anyone there having these *issues*???

I've had it a couple of times. Look at this site, under Treatment, and move your head like they show. It's worked for me.

Thanks for posting that----
Also, he said that *no doubt* one the folicles (which there are 10 of in each ear* --keeping stuff outta the ear) was BENT

Barb, I had this done last summer after several months of dizziness. And it worked...haven't had a problem since. They said if the dizziness came back I could do it at home. Get Lou to sit with you while you do so if it doesn't work you have someone to help you.
They said start with the head turned to the side you get dizzy on. It basically roles the fluid out of the inner ear.
Katy

Hi Barb,
I was asking because after going in to the endochronologist for thyroid problems, he upped the thyroid rx, and asked questions about dizziness when arising in the am, bending over, etc. He checked my feet and neck, and asked me to swallow, looked at my low blood pressure, and other stuff. Then he ordered tests for ACTH and pituatary function. So I did my research and found out he's checking low adrenal function, Addison's disease, parathyroid problems, or who knows. He says he doesn't think I have it, but he's checking anyway.
So, anyway, it sounds like none of this applies to you, but:
low blood pressure,
dizziness or faintness when getting up too quickly,
stomach problems (nausea or diarrhea),
tan or brownish patches or general discoloration or the skin (esp. patches on the forehead and face, and in creases, armpits, knees, joints),
fatigue,
celiac or gluten sensitivity,
all these point to possible Addison's disease or cortisol or adrenal problems.
Wow, that was a mouthful! Love, Marsha
