Is An International Chat Possible?

Post by tex »

Hi all,

Looking at the various time zones for members, I've been trying to figure out a time when everyone might be able to join a chat at the same time. If I'm looking at this correctly, that window of opportunity is fairly narrow, because the day is ending in Spain, as the next day is beginning in Australia.

If we schedule a chat for, say, 4 PM EST, then the time would be 10 PM in Spain, and 7 AM the next morning, in Australia. It could be done after the next day dawns in Spain, of course, because when it's 8 AM in Spain, it is 5 PM in Australia. The problem with this is that it would be 2 AM here in the U. S., and I'm probably the only one who would still be awake that time of the morning. LOL.

Sooooooo, I guess the key questions are:

Tessa, how late could we schedule a chat, without interfering with your normal sleep schedule, or your normal nightly routine?

and,

Liz, how early could we schedule a chat without interfering with your normal sleep pattern, or your early morning routine?

Since a lot of members here in the U. S. might be working at 4 PM EST, Monday through Friday, we would probably have to do this on either Saturday or Sunday, but of course that would be Sunday or Monday, in Australia.

This may not work out, but I was just curious to see if it could be done.

Love,
Tex

Hi Wayne. Either of those time would be OK with me. I am usually up fairly early. The second one may be better for Tessa as she would not have to stay up too late. I would go along with whatever you decide. I am not a nightowl, used to be but can't cut the mustard anymore. so mornings suit me best

Think it is a great idea.

Love

Hi Oma,

Did you try downloading a new version of Java, or a new version of IE or Firefox?
