Hi, Christine,

Thanks for the welcome.

What is PTO? Ignoramus that I am.

Break your two meals into three if you can. I find that if I skip lunch I get into trouble.

SOOOOOOO glad you're back. Where did you go?

Lots of love,

Sally

Sally
PTO= Personal Time Off, meaning that she won't be getting paid for sitting home while I'm at work with my new schedule of 10 hour days. :(

It also means I can't physically check on her for another 7 hours or so. So I have to sit here at work and wonder what's wrong, why does she have to feel this terrible again, and what can I do to help.
I hate being helpless. I can't stand that she's in this much pain and there's nothing I can do about it.

Sally - I believe PTO means "personal time off" but I could be wrong. When I was working we had "personal days" (about 3) and then "sick days" (more of these). Sounds like Christine has them all lumped together.

Christine, I'm so so worried about you. There has to be a reason for all your pains and sickness. I don't know what to suggest to you but I am praying that a resolution will be found soon.

Christine,

I wish you could see that doc I told you about. When they look at your blood, they can tell what your body needs, and if there is anything wrong with your organs. It really is quite amazing. I'm still worried about you. You are way too young for all of this.

Awe, you all make me cry

Especially, you, Trent..

It's not THAT BAD.. my stomach is not horrible today, mostly it's just my cold today - stuffy head, ears hurting, took a decongestant and have snot running out of my nose.. making my taste buds numb so I'm really not hungry but forcing myself to eat.. all the body pains are annoying but I do get those when I have a bad cold like this.. see, now I'm sitting home watching chick flicks and getting all sad and lonely without my hubby..

My issue with PTO is that when I was at home after Gall Bladder surgery, they were using 2.5 hours of my PTO a day along with my short term disability. Now I'm -91 hours PTO, so if I quit today, I'd have to pay THEM back 91 hours worth of pay. I only have 16 hours of PTO left the entire YEAR, and can't use it until September. Was planning on going to Mayo but that might be put off for this. But.. I'm the moron who let them use 2.5 hours PTO a day.. I should have told them not to. Didn't occur to me I'd be out THAT long..

Anyway, I'm on meds and am feeling slightly LESS stuffy, but of course now I feel like I have *medicine-head*. I cleaned up the bedroom because I feel like that might be part of my sinus issues, dust and stuff.. now I'm just watching sappy television..

--o great - now the severe t-storm we're having has eradicated the satellite service.. I guess I'll go take a shower now..

Ohhh, Christine....I am so sorry you feel like crapola! What a blessing to have such a concerned and caring hubby! Every one of us with chronic illness needs one of him, I will be greedy and ask for two, hehe!

I hope your feeling better soon. I have chronic sinus and ear infection issues. I was told that my ear issues stem from my TMJ and clenching my teeth together at night. Its worse with stress. My sinus problems stem from adrenal fatigue and also if I am on pain meds too long I can always count on a sinus infection. Plus, with an autoimmune disease our immune system sucks! We get more infections and it takes us longer to get over them. I take echinicia with golden seal at the sign of a cold. It ususally doesn keep me from getting one but the symptoms aren't as severe and it doesn't last very long.

Big hugs my dear!

Love,

Lori

PS Don't worry about your time away from work, there is nothing you can do about it when you must stay home. It will all work out.

Lori,

thanks.. I too have TMJ and have chronic ear pain because of it.. mostly with EVERY cold, I just get sinus stuff.. mostly just congestion but if I don't get on decongestants and STAY on them, I WILL get an infection. Also, having such common allergies (besides food) to stuff like mold and dust, I'm always getting a stuffy nose and sinuses whenever I'm exposed to stuff like that.. my mom has the same problems.. I'm actually shocked she didn't end up with all this stomach stuff too..

So.. the TV is still down.. the storm still raging.. I'm BORED..

Christine,

Here's a [[[[[[[[[[GROUPHUG]]]]]]]]] for you. It's just not fair, all the problems your having. I'm worried about you too. Trent, your a sweetheart.

Regarding the storm your having. I spoke to Alan a couple hours ago and that storm whipped through Fergus Falls earlier this morning. He is staying at his brothers place and they sat and watch huge trees snap at 10 feet and others uprooted at the ground. Lot's of lightening and rain but no hail. Now, at least his brother said he has a clear view of the river. HAH. They counted at least 20 trees down on his property as well as electrical poles.

His brothers girlfriend has a beautiful farm house about 10 miles from there and the storm down a big tree onto the house and put a huge hole in the roof- and they were in the process of trying to get a squirrl out of the house and do some quick repair work.

SIDENOTE- Shelly, the girlfriend and Alans brother were scheduled to leave first thing this morning for the Mayo Clinic- she has Crohns and is scheduled for an operation on her intestines tommorrow morning. Shes already had one surgery.....anyway they are trying to patch things up the best they can and HAVE to make it down by 8pm tonight. Alot of added stress for Shelly. Keep her in your prayers.

I'm gonna give my sister a call to see how they are fairing the storm. Shes in Arden Hills. Relax and try to rest.

Love,
Joanna
