Bad weather Fellow Texans
Howdy there! Well weather says we shall have freezing rain the next two days.......Had rain all day. And it's suppose to be high 30's for the high tomorrow. Soooo....Have you guys got any of this Nice weather? Love Oma

Hi Oma,
We're a little over a day behind you. The rains won't get here until late tonight, or early tomorrow morning, and we probably won't see any freezing rain/sleet/snow, until later in the day on Monday.
Be careful - it will probably be pretty bad driving conditions north and west of us.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi all,
We're not expecting the really cold stuff with sleet, etc., here on the coast until sometime Sunday when the temps will be dropping rapidly.
Incidently, the Houston Marathon race begins early Sunday morning not too far from where I sit right now. Will pay to run faster for more than one reason on Sunday morning! Ha! I think it will be rainy Sunday morning, so fans my not be out in usual nos. Welp, maybe the diehards.
Everyone stay safe and warm, ok? I just hope the freeze is deep enough and long enough to keep down the spring bug population, skeeters included.

It looks like I was wrong. As you say, winter is definitely upon us. This morning our forecast has been drastically changed. First we are having a flash flood problem through tomorrow, (the thunderstorms just keep lining up in the same places), and the icing will start tonight, and continue until Wednesday.
This kind of weather sucks, especially in this part of Texas. I was hoping that you guys would keep this kind of weather north of Texas, where it belongs. LOL.
I'm just glad that it's not as cold as it is in Colorado. I'm also glad that we have a full propane tank, because the power lines may start going down tomorrow, if the forecasts are correct.
I hope everyone can stay warm and safe.

I´ve read that parts of Texas have problems, as some flights had to be cancelled.

In Missouri, dozens of flights were canceled at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. In Texas, about 60 flights were canceled at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Thanks for your concern. It's just getting started here. According to the forecast, we have about 4 days of this ahead of us. Our biggest problem right now, in the central part of Texas, is flooding. The ice storm will arrive here, sometime tonight. It's still above freezing right now, but it's raining cats and dogs, (that's an old saying, which means that it's really flooding). We're getting set up for a lot of ice, the way things are headed.

Here,in AZ, so my son and people say, it is the coldest winter they ever had??
To me it isnt that bad-----yet I guess when U used to 60's + and U getting 30's + --they feel it is COLD--
I am enjoying this winter here----

Stay safe from the ice and snow, good buddies. They sure can be a nuisance. Not to mention expensive, as Matthew pointed out.
As for me, we're still enjoying weather in the 60s for the next few days. Unheard of for these parts! Yesterday I ran on the trail in shorts and a tee shirt and let my dog go swimming in the river. (Normally the temp would be in the 30s and we would have had snow (what's that?) by Jan. 6th). I'm enjoying it while it lasts!
