Oh Maggie.....sounds painful, but like you said, the real teeth will be gone and hopefully that will give you some relief. I awoke this morning with very little pain. I took my antibiotic, 1/2 Vicodin and a Naproxin. The pattern has been that the pain starts soon after I get up. It is snowing like crazy here and my school is closed again. It may start raining later, but for now, I am a happy camper. The problem is that it may freeze tonight and be wicked tomorrow morning. Tacomans aren's used to this long tern snow stuff....I think people are actually learning how to drive in in..hahaha. HI JJ,

Well it is finally getting a bit cold here and with all of the rain we have had, it would have been a heck of a lot of snow if it was cold. However, I would surely welcome one snow day to just read and relax. Get 2 after the teeth are pulled but have to charge them up to sick days and they won't be enjoyable.

Stay in - Stay safe - and don't venture on icey roads.

Love, Maggie

Jill,

Well, I see you got your wish - plenty of snow. At noon here, it's 29 degrees, with light snow. Up until a few minutes ago, we had freezing rain and sleet. I've been out feeding animals, and checking to see that everything is okay, around the neighborhood, so I'm just now getting a chance to read the board.

It's definitely a good day for indoor pursuits. I think I'll try to catch up on my bookkeeping today.

Tex..is it still snowing there? I just received notice that my school will start 2 hrs late tomorrow...things started to thaw today (finally), but freezing temps tonight will make the roads scary tomorrow.

I drove in the snow this morning to the endodontist..I was able to get in because so many people cancelled because of the snow. It turns out that I had a partially dead tooth that was causing the infection...he drilled in and cleaned out most of the necrotic stuff, then will finish the root canal at a later time. I came home, took some pain meds and went to bed...I slept well this afternoon and am now almost pain free. I will continue the antibiotics and get rid of the nasty infection. The good news is that my dental insurance should pay the $1600 bill!...yea! I needed that lucky break! I only have to pay the $50 detuctible....nite nite...JJ

Hi Jill,

Well, most of the the local weather reporting services show light snow here for the current conditions, but it looks and feels a lot like rain to me. Of course, I'm no meteorologist, so what do I know? LOL. There'll be a lot of late starts here too, tomorrow morning, since it's still below freezing.

Ouch! That does sound painful. It's a good thing that you could sleep it off this afternoon. That's definitely good news that you'll be able to get the root canal done for only $50 out of pocket. It's bad enough to have to go through the procedure, without having to fork over $1,600 hard-earned bucks, to boot.

Sleep tite,
Tex

JJ,

Glad to hear the worst of the problem has been addressed. I have followed your posts with interest but also with fear and trepidation. I hate anything to do with teeth or the dentist. So I have been suffering along with you! Better days are ahead!

Love,

Polly

Thanks Polly! Things are better this morning...the tooth is just a little sensitive, as they said it would be. The doc will be lecturing in Texas at the end of the week, but gave me his cell # in case I have problems. I am enjoying my coffee at the moment, and happy to have a 2 hour late start....I'm afraid this is my last day of lounging...the temp will be getting back to normal for the rest of the week. TTFN...JJ
