Beth wrote:... I've actually never really struggled with C before, but I think that's because I was eating gluten for so many years and ignoring the fact that I wasn't feeling that great while I was eating it. Best, Beth
OK, sorry, I assumed the C was part of a pattern... Wow, you must have been miserable with all these things going on. Plus a really bad flair leading up to the decision to start meds.

I bet you get the D under control pretty soon. Then with what you have learned on the Milk of Magnesia for constipation, perhaps cut that dose in half to avoid creating D, and have a working set of tools.

Hi Beth,

Have you noticed any improvement and also wondering if you have touched base with your Doc regarding how your progress is going.

Hope you have had a better week.

Love,
Joanna

Regarding constipation, if nothing else seems to be helping - here's a site that mentions thyroid as a possible culprit. http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp If you scroll way down, to where it says "bowel function" it mentions "D" = poorly functioning Adrenals, and "C" = thyroid. May not be your scene, but then again it might.

Marsha had a post a month ago about her auto-immune thyroid (Hashimoto's) and it really struck a chord with me, got mine tested, and sure enough I have off the chart readings for antibodies to the thyroid. MC is autoimmune, and stats show that people with autoimmune issues are more likely to have other autoimmune problems compared to "normal" people.

I had chronic fatigue for 20 years following severe viral illness, the last 15 of those years had MC with explosive "D".

thanks to this site, I have the "D" finally under control, and Marsha's posting on thyroid-adrenal a month ago started me on a road of recovery on the fatigue thing. If you suspect thyroid and/or adrenal issues, the following site has helped me immensely: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
If this interests you, be sure to check out their forums on that site.
