Very Upset at a Restaurant- "Caseinated"

Post by thedell19 »

I worked late friday night and decided to get some gluten free pizza with no cheese on it from Picazzo's-

A little history- been there 4 times before and 2 times it was make incorrectly (twice right on the regular crust!!!!!!!!!)

Well I checked it before I left the store and it looked fine at first glance. Well I ate a slice in the car and thought wow thats better than last time. Well I got home put the pizza on the counter and looked down and it had some shredded Parm cheese!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt beleive it because I talked to the person who took my order and said I was allergic to any kind of dairy... So I talked to the manager and really let him know how I was going to be feeling for the next few days and he was appologetic-

But that makes out of the 5 times I have been there it was made wrong! I think I am going to write a letter to the owner (he has celiac disease) and basically tell him that I do not feel valued as a customer or a person with food sensativities.

So Saturday I had loose BMs as with sunday and today. I heard milk take shorter to get over?? Is that true? I jsut got over being sick or glutened... ENOUGH ALREADY!
Dr Fine test shows positive for gluten and casien but negative for soy, eggs, and yeast

Andrew,

I would probably do what Barbara suggests, if I were in your shoes, but I can see your point. One would think that with a celiac owner, the place would be relatively safe.

It just goes to show how careless employees can ruin everything, not only for the customers, but for the owner as well - I'm sure that the owner had the best of intentions, when he offered a menu with safe foods for people with intolerances. With thoughtless people standing between him and his goals, however, business can be a tough row to hoe.

Casein used to make me sick for about a day, sometimes two, but I have been fortunate enough to reach the point where it no longer bothers me, now. (Knock on wood).

Andrew,

I agree with Tex and Barbara. Such a shame that an employee ruins it for both you and the owner.

Barbara - There is a pizza place in Doylestown - I remember your friends live there - that has a whole selection of GF pizza. I am going there someday but don't know when. About 1 hour from home.

Love, Maggie

Andrew-----I am an egg beater eater-----

sometimes switch from the yellow to the white-----

be careful-----cus they have added chedder cheese and other stuffs to the eggs--

being so used to just whipping the container from the shelf---I took a second look and saw *chedder-cheese*

like everything else--after awhile---the companies have to add to pep up a bland food!!!! they worry about the $$$$$$

so I am careful---when my hand reaches for the *egg-beaters*

enjoy---
