Hi Friends,

I am reluctant to share my symptoms since there is confusion over whether or not I have MC, but in my case (aside from the gallbladder issues right now) nausea and flu like symptoms were what I was left with after getting rid of the food intolerances. I didn't have any sharp pains but after having BMs I just felt wiped out. Since Dec 1, I have been on the upswing in general until the last few days.

Love,
Cristi

I have never had pain with CC, other when I was taking meds after my DX that did not agree with me.

My abdominal pain and or discomfort has always been directly under the ribcage on the right side of my body (right upper quadrant).

Pain has different levels, from a slight discomfort till something unbearable.

During the time it was unbearable, it was really pain! I had nauseas, vomits, headache... My GP prescribed some painkillers (which I finally had to take every 6 hours) and finally I was admitted into Hospital, where I stayed for about 20 days. They carried out many different tests, but with no result.

This happened before knowing I had MC and problems with gluten and dairy...

I had my appendix removed when I was young because of a similar pain. The pain stopped at the surgery room and they noticed I had no problem with my appendix, even though because I was there... they carried it out.
It was a surgery not needed (that´s a long story)... The following day the pain returned + extremely high fever, etc...

Fortunately, it has not been unbearable since years ago and it has decreased after I started the GF & DF diet.
It is just a discomfort nowadays.

Thank you for asking. I find it an interesting post.

Take care,
Love

Hi!!
I am one also that never had any pain or nausea.. I could feel at times in the "lower" left side the actual inflammation.. But it wasn't painful.
Now, I'd bet if I was to stop the 1 Entocort, that I'd experience some cramping and maybe some nausea.. Not going to risk it at this point..
The only time that I have the battery acid D is when I slip and eat something with dairy in it.. Very obvious and familiar symptom.

It sure is interesting how many different results there are in different folks. You would think that if we all had the same or similar disease then we'd have the same or similar symptoms. But that is not the case, we're all over the board. No pain, severe pain, pain near the gallbladder, pain in the lower GI, etc.

Seems to me that again MC or what they think is MC is just a symptom of something else. We've all got (or at one time had) the same symptom of inflamation, but the other symptoms different and perhaps different diseases.

I agree Mike. It all seems to be tied back to the leaky gut and food allergies.

Mike,

I agree with you too, that MC is probably sort of a side effect of many other issues. There are too many things known to cause it, and there are probably a lot more connections still waiting to be discovered.

Hellooooo. My pain comes just about everytime I eat or drink a lot. The pain is under my belly button and it feels like I'm on fire. The pain seems to be radiating up towards my sternum these days, but I'm also in what I hope is the end of an episode. When I bloat I look like I'm gonna pop with 6 Orca whales and that's just "uncomfortable" not painful. Sometimes the low back pain kicks in- that ususally occurs with being very tired and having a long nap. Please note that I have both CC and MC; and DON'T have them under control. The mere fact Tex thinks I'm the only one here thus far with both validates I'm a medical freak! I have a wonderful husband and 3 cute little people that are patient with me when I look and feel like kaka! SO there is my 2 cents!

I just tried to post and something happened to it.

My pain is...

In the middle of the night I start to have low bowl pain. I end up in the bathroom on the toilet, doubled up, wishing I could die. I have low bowl pain (undescribable) I sweat so much I have to take all my clothes off.
It comes in waves, and lasts for usually 4 hours. Sometimes I sleep on the toilet. I rotate having diarreha and throwing up.

I have had this since I was in my 20's. I thought it was just nerves.

About five years ago, I had a bought like this, but I produced a ball of tissue about the size of a half dollar. I was in the bathroom for almost twelve hours. I saved the specimen and when my other got home, we took me and the specimen to the urgent care.

The urgent care doc pitched the specimen in the trash. He also kept me at the office all day and did tests. He sent me to a gastro dr. who was very good. He did a colonoscopy and said I had a polyp. He could not find anything else wrong. What was that piece of blob?????
No one knows??? No one seemed to care???

I have had a history of IBS since I was in my 20's. I just thought it was nerves????

I would like to have any thoughts about what that could have been.
It was the worse pain I have ever had there. The IBS that I had in my 20's didn't hold a candle to this pain.

They told me I must have had a bacterial infection. Well since then I have had a bacterial infection, and there is no comparison, the ball of what ever was the most painful thing I have ever had happen to me gastrologically. No one had any idea what it was???? But what upset me was that the first doc tossed it into the trash. Not into the red container for blood etc. , but the garbage can, and nerve mentioned it again.

No biopsy??????????? I never got an answer.

OK, I give up, this baffles me. Anyone have an answer on any of it???
