Hi Barbara,
I apologize. I tried to respond to your PM this morning, but for some reason or other, my data connection wouldn't let me send it. I finally gave up and went to work.
Okay, most avatars are stored in the database for the board, but the other images are stored remotely. The problem is almost surely in the browser you are using. If you can't get to to work, you might have to try another browser, (I recommend Firefox, but a lot of people like Opera, or some others.
First, though, check your preferences in your browser to make sure that it is not blocking pop-ups, (one of your "tech associates" might have decided to set your browser to block pop-up ads. I believe that some firewalls can also be set to block pop-ups. Has one of your "tech associates" changed any firewall settings recently?
I'll see if I can think of any other possibilities, while I'm working, this afternoon.
Luve,
Galahad
