Need some HELP==PLEASE

Post by barbaranoela »

I am heading to see my GP---cus I am feeling worse!!

In case of an antibiotic ----WAYNE---U mentioned one that most of us *C* peoples can tolerate---without causing the big *D*--

Was it CIPRO????---

I am not feverish---but I sure have the shakes again---and feel like what left my *bottom* the other night!!!

Anyone got suggestions???

I have taken Flagyl+ Vanco but that was for treating the BIG *D*---

I sucked on that Pedialite pop---just to keep hydrated---altho I am drinking plenty of TEA!!!

Thanks---listen I understand we are all different and tolerate meds---but I just want some antibiotic names-------AMOX---kills me!!! woweeeee!!

Hasn't "Z-Pack" (I think that's right) been mentioned as something most of us tolerate?

Good Luck, Barbara.

Hiya Sis,

The Z-Pack that Shirley mentioned is for azithromycin. I have no problem with it.

Hope you feel better soon.

Love,

Polly

No problem with Z-pac here either - the only one I do tolerate well.

Feel better soon Barbara!

Hi Barbara,

Sorry I'm so late with this response - I got sidetracked on some emails and other things.

Looks like your question has already been answered. Yes, the Cipro and Z-pak normally don't cause problems for most of us.

You're probably still weak from all that bad stuff the other night, and maybe it takes a few days to get over whatever you had. If you have a virus, the antibiotics probably won't do any good, though.

I was given Cipro a couple of times when I was having serious D, and both times it stopped the D as long as I was taking the antibiotic. Your situation might be different, though. As Mary mentioned in another topic, there's a lot of bad stuff going around.

Hope you feel better soon.

Luve,
Galahad
