Hi Oma!!
First off, THANK YOU for thinking of us!
I have been doing lots of research..
I talked to my daughter's doctor friend who works at Iowa City Hosptial.
He actually did a big study and presentation on prostrate cancer and the up to date procedures. One that he said he is really in favor of is the laproscopic one.. Our two area hospitals do not do that one, but the Cleveland Clinic, up North does, so we're going to get copies of all of Jack's test and his biopsy report and set up an appt. up there for a second opinion. That procedure is less invasive, less bleeding and pain. They usually only keep the patient 24 hours.
So, that's where we are so far with the decision making..

Love

Dee,

 The option you are exploring sounds like a very good one. I'm glad you will be going to Cleveland Clinic. Sounds as if you are doing good research and leaving no stone unturned. Best wishes to you both.

Love,

Polly

I hadn't even heard of that option. I agree - usually, the less cutting, the better. I hope they think that Jack is a good candidate for the procedure.

I am glad to hear that. My Father had Postrate Cancer. His was detected too late and he didn't want any surgery ir anything done anyway. But it sounds like a better plan and easier on him and you. Let us know what happens so we can offer prayers for ya'll. Love Oma
