Had a little flareup this weekend...but

Post by CAMary »

I think I now know the cause - it hit DH yesterday as he had eaten some leftover chicken for lunch - I had an inkling it was the chicken! We had it for dinner Th. night - I was screamin' busy on Friday, and had neither breakfast or lunch - and about 3pm I had to run for the bathroom! All I could surmise is that was the last thing I'd eaten - except some GF pretzels and juice @ preschool...

My friend came to town for the weekend, so I tried to ignore my issues - popped some Pepto, and aside from Friday night (3 "episodes") - I actually felt pretty good! It felt *different* from a true flare and once it "cleared my system" I felt much better. When Mike went running last night, I asked what he had for lunch and went "woohoo" when he told me - since it confirmed my suspicions!

Weird thing is the kids had the chicken Thurs. night but none of them were affected...hmm - but they had it in quesadillas, so they actually had a much smaller portion of poultry than we did....and Mike didn't "feel" it until the second time he had it...perhaps my MC makes me more susceptible than everyone else????

Anyways - I never take feeling good for granted anymore

Morning Mary,

I guess you said it all when you said "you never take anything for granted" - my sentiments exactly.

Hope you are both better today and stay away from that chicken.

Love, Maggie
