I'm sitting here at school waiting for the memorial service to start...it's for our student who died last Wednesday. Sigh...Then I have my little after school art class for kids. Tonight my sis is coming over to help me touch up my cover letter...I hope to send it off tomorrow...sure glad the weekend is coming...I need some serious down time. My goal is to also register wth the head hunting agency for private schools....will have this weekend to do that...no ski school on Saturday. My knee is all better, but my behind is still a tiny bit sore, but not bad...guess I just bruised it????? Well, that's my news for now...TTFN...JJ

JJ,

   How incredibly sad. Thinking of you, the students, and the young lady's family.

Love,

Polly

Hi JJ,

I am so sorry for what has happened to that sutdent at your school!!!

What an awful thing to have to go through!!! My daughter in law is a teacher, and I know she would be devestated...

I understand your fear of not having a job to count on, I have been there.

I wish you luck in your search, I am praying and crossing my fingers about the job in Aspen.. What a wonderful opportunity for you, with your love of skiing. I sincerely hope you get that position!!!

Love, Kathyp

Hi there,

It's called:
Seton Catholic H.S.
Chandler, AZ.
1150 N Dobson Rd
480-963-1900

I haven't looked it up on the internet yet, but I'm sure they have a site. CA (Palm Springs) is 6 hours drive from here, WA state 20 hours. Las Vegas 5 hours. I'm in Chandler (south end of the Valley of the Sun). Tucson is 2 hours south, downtown Phoenix about 35 minutes NW on the freeway. Art teachers gotta stick together . . .

Love,
Marsha

Jill,

Here's the school website:

http://www.diocesephoenix.org/school/seton_catholic_hs/

Here's a review of Seton, with some information about the school, students, teachers, and the area, that should be of interest to you:

http://www.privateschoolreview.com/scho ... ool_id/681

And here's another review that includes some reviews by parents, among other things:

http://www.greatschools.net/cgi-bin/az/private/2238

Hope this helps,
Tex

Thanks...looks like a great school...I didn't see a link for employement. I wonder if there is a list serve for Catholic schools in the US? Hmmm..I should investigate. I am signed-up for the NAIS list serve.. (National Assoc of Indep Schools. ) I also need to contact our local Catholic HS...I e-mailed the Chair of the Art Dept, but I guess it didn't go through...I know her, and I'm sure she would have written back. My neighbor's BIL is a Dean at another local private school...so he is searching there. You guys are the best....these days, net working is so important...Thanks again...JJ
