Hi Polly Wolly,

I know how much you loved my dogs and I'm saddened to say that we lost Belle to cancer.

Sadie Mae is doing fine although she is lost without her sister. She needs almost constant companionship right now. Larry says we are NOT going to get her a puppy! lol (gotta find something cute in all of this).

Needless to say, our lives have been in a spin lately with the dogs, the kids leaving, etc.

Oh Mars Bar,

I am so sorry.

Losing a pet ranks up there among the worst of life's experiences, IMHO.
How old was Belle? Was she sick for a long time? Poor Sadie Mae.

I was thinking of you and the dogs as I watched the bloodhound last week on the Westminster Dog Show. I know Belle will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Thinking of your during this stressful period......

Lots of love :pulsinghearts: and a :bigbighug:

Hi Polly,

Thanks Polly!

Belle was 5 years old. She bagan getting sick a few months ago - don't remember exactly but she was dx'd with pnemonia by the vet. She had large bumps (cysts) on her back at that time and the vet said they were ok - nothing to worry about - "fat bumps". She began having serious problems about 12 weeks ago.

I noticed yesterday that we were talking about the dogs and Belle's name was said and Sadie's head whipped around so fast I thought she would get whiplash! She cried a few minutes and wanted everyone to pet her. Dogs recognize and remember just like we do.

Thanks for the love and hugs.

Love,
Mars

Margie,

I'm so sorry to hear about Belle!!! It is such a sad thing of life, I still mourn my pets from childhood. I feel so bad for your other dogie also, I know they mourn and remember too!!!

Hi Mars,

So sorry to hear about Belle and I am with Polly, she will be at Rainbow Bridge wagging her tail like mad when you come accross. It is so very hard to lose a pet and some people just cannot understand that. They are part of your family.
