Hi Polly

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Yeah, I've been doing much better on the gluten front. And feel better as a result (my feet are the biggest improvement). But you know what? The shoulder/upper back pain started to diminish after I went back on the antidepressant. And I did a brief stint with a chiorpractor too. But yeah, its definately better. It's been sore this week. Is it from snowblowing/shoveling last week? Too much time playing computer games (due to the cold and snow)? Is it from the gluten? How do we separate life from illness?

I know, very philosophical for this hour of the morning. I do know I'm gluten sensitive. I feel it. I even get very angry (more easily) when I've gotten glutened. And of course my feet, knees, hips and back tighten up too.

Well, back to work I go. The stress here is enough to cause some of these problems.

Hi back atcha, Katy!

Good news about your progress. I think AnnE of the Island (Canadian) also noted improvement first in her feet after going GF. I also think the computer is responsible for lots of our neck/shoulder aches. Which computer games do you like? I'm partial to Free Cell and Snood myself.

Great philosophical question - how to separate life from illness. Usually it requires a lot of guessing, doesn't it? Hang in there. You have come a long way. When is the big wedding?

Love,

Polly

The wedding is June 2. So we are in the throws of finalizing plans, confirming services and vendors. My dress and those of my bridesmaid and MOH should be in soon. We ordered the girls dresses a couple weeks ago (letting as much growth as possible happen...Erin has grown at least 4 inches since last June, most of it since September I think...doesn't bother me too much because i don't have to hem her pants anymore! But we did have to buy new pants because she could no longer button her size 7s).

As for computer games, I like spider solitare and Civilization (which takes way too many hours, but is highly addictive). I need to get back to my sewing which at least involves more movement (up and down between the sewing machine and the ironing board). I feel guilty working on my quilting projects though because I still have a pair of pants each for Geoff and Kayla to shorten, so I'm avoiding all of it!

Katy,

Another spider solitare fan here. Could that be an engineering thing? What I like about it, is the fact that in order to complete the game in as short a time as possible, you're forced you to keep the overall picture in mind, as you take care of all the little details, sorta like an engineering project. LOL.

Add me to the "Spyder Solitare Fan Club", and "Free Cell" too.

Unfortunately, I like lots of computer games. I even like some of those virtual pet sites. Uh Oh this could get embarassing.
