Mags,

I saw in another post that you survived your dental ordeal yesterday. YAY! The worst is over. Did you figure out a selection of palatable soft foods?

Love and a :bigbighug:

Morning All,

Well back at work and still very sore. 11 were pulled - that's the end of real teeth - and 37 sutures required to close the incisions done to do away with the tortes. That was the hardest part of it. The 24-hour check up was a real gas. Told the dentist - not the one who pulled them and someone I had never saw - that the pain was quite bad but handling it OK. He looks at me and asks how long the pain had been going on. He NEVER READ MY CHART! I blew my cord and the expletives out of my mouth were not very nice. Told him it hurt since they pulled 11 teeth yesterday and filled my mouth with sutures. I think from now on he will read someone's chart before opening his mouth.

That aside I am doing quite well. Diet has been (all mashed) turnips, sweet potatoes, butternut squash and I made a wonderful Salmon souffle from scratch on Saturday - out of my head no book - and it is awesome. Kind of more like a mousse than a souffle but very good. Yogurt has been breakfast and hopefully with 2-3 weeks I will be able to operate the new choppers and eat more solid.

I want to say one thing - I REALLY HATE DENTISTS!

Love, Maggie

Thanks all. Dee, yes - the plate goes right in after the teeth are pulled and the sutures done. It is called an immediate plate and must stay in for a least 24 hours before 1st removal. So much fun but the upside of this is that I now have teeth that look oh so much better. Have never had that in my entire life.
