I did something I am proud of tonight

I work with credit cards all day long, helping people get thier APR down and find ways to help them use thier cards wisely.....well remember when I had all that trouble and nearly lost everything because of the surgery and losing my job? Blessed be those of you on this board and especially those that helped me thru with specialized care (you know who you are) You are in my prayers every night. anyway... It put my credit card in a crisis as well and bumped up my APR. Well I don't use it because It needs to be pd off...anyway I Called and asked them to lower my APR. And got them to cut it in half. I am so happy...because I wasn't getting anywhere with the high interest rate. Now I can start to get it paid down faster. I just had to share the fact that I finally wised up........Duh. Love Oma

Heck--been there---CORRECTION-----Luigi is the one who likes his TOYS--but as he says-----he spaces buying!!!

Now he INSISTS that I get a new PUTER!!! What for say I??? I like what I know----start it up--then shut it off---like a car

BUT---I know more of the car---cus when I hear a STRANGE sound---I tune L. into it and wallah!!!! need brakes!!!

Good for you. I'm sure it helped they saw you were trying to make progress by not using it. We do need to remember to be assertive at times like that.

Good job, Oma. Glad you decided to make that call. Credit cards are a real blessing when we have no other choice, but they can be a real burden as well. Good luck with it. I do hope you'll be able to pay it off and then be able to only use it as a convenience, paying it off each month as the bill comes in. I know you had no choice before.

When the credit card companies see that a person is really making an attempt, they are usually very cooperative and try to help.
