Root Canal...whaaaaaa!

Post by JJ »

Hi....I am gearing myself up for a root canal tomorrow morning...uffda...had one before and it wasn't too bad. I was not happy the last time I saw this endodontist...he drilled into a part of the tooth that was still alive...he thought it was ALL dead...wrong....it hurt so much that I cried a little. They kept telling me that it was just pressure.....grrrrrr....then .....they saw what I was yelling about.

No news about my job applications. My boss asked me today if I had received a call from Vail...she wrote a letter of support for me. I guess it is nice that she thinks I have a shot at being a finalist. Hahahha...no actually, she was very nice to me today.

I am proud of myself, even though I have a low grade temp, I drug my sad weary body to the YMCA and swam laps this afternoon.. :barbell: TTFN...JJ

I feel for you about the root canal, or any dental work. Seems like I have spent a lot of my life in the dental chair. I never learned to like it, thats for sure. Good luck.

I was very glad to hear about what your boss said. Sounds like they are taking you seriously and you've certainly got a shot at the job.

Oh Jillster,

When it rains it pours, heh?

Here's a pic I took about an hour and a half ago from my deck...there's always something good about the rain...rainbows!

While the periodontist is working on you try to picture him (her) in underwear surrounded by drills that have minds of their own...they keep "pricking" him

Love ya doll,

Morning Jill,

I will be sending you good vibes on the dentist and root canal. Hopefully after this plate seats and gets adjusted and lined I will be done with dentists. Have to be at the dentist today for adjustments. Right now the plate is painful but definitely will improve. My appt. is 12:30 PM so I will think of you while I am in the chair. We can be today's dental twins.

Love, Maggie

Hi Jill,

Well you sound like you do have a 5-star office. Mine really lacks in personality, etc. For the price of $275 per extraction, you would think the juice would be a gimme. Today went terrible in the honesty department since they never told me my "immediate" plate would need to go back to the lab in 6-8 weeks for a lining. That entails me with no bottom teeth for 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. Ain't happening and they never did that with my top plate. I told them it would be fitting and adjustments until it was right and would happen in their office. I cannot work and walk around in public without teeth. I was so PO's that they never told me this in the beginning. Told them I would love my next visit to be one that goes well and does not upset or piss me off. The dentist as usual, looked at me in shock and then smiled and said "I understan." Me thinks, he understands me little. So sorry my old dentist moved and since I was in the middle of their services, there was no switch. Also an insurance issue when you need to switch.

However, the positive is that the teeth look great and are fitting better and progressing on the eating side.

Love, Maggie
