Wayne, please help

Post by moremuscle »

Hi,

I hope you are doing well - I miss you guys.

I have bought a bottle of Knudsen's Veggie Juice but I am afraid of drinking any of it. It contains grain vinegar. Is grain vinegar OK for me or should I stay away from opening that bottle?

Knudsen's also makes a tomato juice that is bottled. It doesn't have acorbic or citric acid (or anything else that's off limits for me) so I tried it. Really loved it!

I would appreciate your kind answer to this question; you have a very special place in my heart, Wayne.

Love,
Karen

Hi Karen,

Grain vinegar is safe for us. The distillation process makes the alcohol that it is derived from, (by fermentation), gluten free, and grain free, also. The only kinds of vinegars that you have to avoid are types such as blended vinegar, or malt vinegar.

The same applies to alcoholic beverages. We have to avoid beverages that contain malt, and blended beverages, but pure, distilled beverages are safe, whether they are alcoholic on non-alcoholic.

Thanks for the tip on the Knudsen's tomato juice.

I'm doing fine - I've been testing oats, which is not working out very well, but other than that, I feel great. I plan to write a post about the oat test program, later today, if I have the time.

So how are you doing these days? We miss you a lot, also. You always write such informative and inspirational posts. I wish I had half your energy, and ambition. You will always have a very special place in my heart, too, Karen.

Please drop in, whenever you can.

Love,
Wayne

Thank you, Wayne -

I thought I knew grain vinegar was safe but after buying it I started to feel afraid that I had misunderstood something so I thought is was better to ask before drinking it. Thanks again.

Nothing much going on here - living a very normal life with work, kids, family, etc.

I am currently enrolled in a speed training program for "advanced distance runners"; we are only 2 weeks into it. We are running some pretty tough track workouts. I have certainly found a challenge that I struggle with - but I kind of like the struggle in my own special way; I never had those experiences as a kid or young person so I am enjoying the freedom of doing what I want to do now at my current age. I am still young compared to what I will be later, right? But I am much older than the majority of the other female runners in the program. Many of them could be my children - they don't expect much from me and they are almost amazed at what I can do - after all their moms probably can't do what I do; at least they don't try to do what I try to do. I am sure some people think I am out there making a fool of myself

Karen
