Harry is HOME!!!!!!
He is already in his own bed and Lori gave him a Lunesta just to make sure he gets some good rest.
We didn`t leave the hospital until 9PM and Lori insisted she was spending the night to help keep an eye on him, make appointments tomorrow, pick up prescriptions, etc. I really don`t know what I would do without her. She has been a gem. She was supposed to see patients all day tomorrow but called in to cancel all of them.
Home health care is coming in the morning. Don`t know what all they will do but he has a bed sore that really needs attention. except for two that a skin care team did Lori has been treating and bandaging all the rest of the time.
Mars, you asked about my wrist....I get the cast off Wed. and go to a removable splint for two weeks. It will sure make life easier.
Just having Harry home is such a relief in so many ways. It means he is on the mend and I can stop worrying so much even though he is very weak and so, so haggard looking. Now, if he needs emergency care our local hospital is only 5 minutes away. We can actually see it from our yard. I have taken him over there many times because I can get him there faster than calling a squad.
Thank you all again for your caring, concern and love, You are the best! Love, Carol

That's great news, that he's home, and settled in. We all tend to look kind of haggard after a hospital stay, but that will improve with time, now that he's home again.
I'm glad your wrist is making such good progress, too.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Morning Carol,
So happy to hear Harry is home and settled in. Being in your own home and your own bed can make all the difference. Lori sure sounds like an angel.
Take care of that wrist and just because it is a flexible cast do not do too much.
Love, Maggie

Wonderful news. No one sleeps well in a hospital, so I'm sure with several days good rest home in his own bed, he'll feel and look much much better. When I had my surgery last year I was running a low grade fever while I was in the hospital. Within about 4 hours of getting home it was gone (and I was sleeping on the couch!).
Take care of you. I'm glad Lori is there to help.
