Was this a 4x a day Saliva test? Do you have a copy of it? Can you post it with Tex's awesome "add image to post" thing?cludwig wrote: So I don't fully understand what the test is saying. He said it showed I had adrenal fatigue with low levels of Cortisol, Dhea and testosterone.
they may have gotten your lab's mixed up with Reggies...cludwig wrote: At the same time I had a blood test from another MD who said my Dhea was high.
When they did your ACTH stim test, did they take a blood draw, then shoot you up with something, then come back later and get another reading? Depending on what they shot you with, they could be seing if your adrenals responded, or if your pituitary responded. Try to get the exact name of the test, and if possible what they shot you up with.cludwig wrote: I would assume that it was caused from primary insufficiency rather than secondary as the latter would require more tests???
The treatment is the same. Most people on the Adrenal-Thyroid board don't care which it is. the only time you care is if you suspect EVERYTHING is shut down because of pituitary. Like a broad brush, more than just adrenal - thyroid. but even then, you don't' "fix" a pituitary, you just take more pills for the stuff you don't' have or aren't making.
