Let it Snow

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Okay, Shoot the Groundhog! He didn't see his shadow which is supposed to be a good sign. But here we sit on April 12 and its snowing out again! Heavy wet slop.

Maybe tonight I'll post the pictures I took during the last storm. The trees are even prettier in spring storms because the heavy snow clings to them making for that winderwonderland beauty.

I'd rather see tulip and daffodil beauty at this point though. Even my crocuses can't get enough thawed ground to come up.

Katy,

I totally agree. If we could just get a solid week of one type of weather it would be great. Shows our PA groundhog knows squat!!

I want Spring.

Love, Maggie

I want spring, too!! We don't have snow, the weather is fairly warm in the daytime, but I sure could handle a few sunny days in a row....like a months worth!

Warm hugs you snow-bound peoples.

Cold (in the 30's) here and rain/snow mixed! Spring flowers have been hit with night frost and are for the most part wilted! I ordered flowers from a nursery (Perennials) that should ship at the appropriate time for your time zone (they are in Ohio TOO) and they sure don't take the current weather conditions into account - just the appropriate time for planting!!!! They are delivering now and I have them on my dining room table because they are still calling for frost within the next week. Grrrrrrrrr The weather is just NOT cooperating!

I could sure use some warm weather too!

Mars!

I'm jealous Mars! We don't even consider planting until Memorial Day! (except peas and corn)

1 in a 100 years!

Accuweather is forecasting a big winter storm on Sunday... Hope you are not on its path.

Have a look to their forecast about the 1 in a 100 years storm
What a storm!

While a snowstorm continues to wind down in the Northeast, all eyes are now on the next storm coming through the Rockies. That storm will produce heavy snow and dangerous thunderstorms across the central and southern Rockies to the Plains. And this storm could become a historic storm for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast if it reaches its full potential.

Take care,
Love,
Tessa

Morning Mars,

Take your perennials and put them in the garage to keep them safe. They can take the cold in a garage because they are conditioned to it but not the heat of a house.

Love, Maggie

P.S. - Sooner or later we just might be able to plant outside.
