Listen---anyone who really wants something--like a car---go with Louie and he will buy it---

Yup we bought another car--DO I need a car!!!!
But he doesnt want to wear down the Buick---WHY??? is it supposed to outlive us??? UFF!!!

So we got a Hyundi--Elantra---compact enuf for us to run around town--
I luved my Honda---and thats what I WOULD have wanted but---$$$$$ spoke---

Personally I think this is stupid

PLUS---U know me and buttons here---buttons there---I was so confused I had the wipers going----etc. AND---NEVER drive when your hub is the passanger----RIGHT!!!!

I was instructed all the way----that I got so damn nervous and ran a light_ :yikes: and then U KNOW WHO had the :hissyfit: --hahahaha--

Was quite a day--

Oh---nothing on my *brain* so either I dont have one(which migh be confusing them) ---and NO call from my soon to be not my Fav. GP--

Barbara-

Your story made me laugh!! I always feel like that when I get a rental car!! My in-laws recently bought the exact same car -Hyundai Elantra! It was about a month old, and some inattentive teenager hit my MIL!! She was so upset - no one was hurt, but it was her *new* car!!

Hope you hear soon about the rest of your tests - waiting is the pits!!!

Love,

Mary

Mrs. Columbo,

I feel exactly the same way that you do. I buy vehicles to use, not to sit around looking good. If you're going to ride together, anyway, wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to maintain one car, rather than two? Two means double insurance, registration, etc. Two cars to wash, and keep clean, etc. Evidently, Mr. L is a lot more ambitious than I am. Being naturally lazy, I prefer to wear vehicles out, one at a time. LOL.

Still, with the price of fuel going up again, it may pay for itself, if it gets better mileage than the Buick.

They must be happy with the test results, if they haven't mentioned them yet.

Luv,
Galahad

Barbara, you are so funny you should be in show biz! I can feel for you. We have a 1989 Chevy Caprice sitting in the garage in almost showroom condition that Harry has kept in the same kind of running condition. He goes out and starts it up occasionally and we use it for trips. They have been few and far between the past few years. He would so love to have a Buick, but as you said, $$$$$ rule. In the meantime we drive an older but extrenely reliable..Harry again...big believer in maintainence and preventative maintainence, Olds Cutlas. I have told him before that we could have bought a matching set of buicks with what he has spent on maintaining cars in good condition.

Hope all your tests come back with good results. Love, Carol

Mary----Im not too worried about the brain---am more concerned about the mammo----which I am very sure it will be fine---
The best thing was---we had run to the bakery and lo and behold --right there is the dealership!!! Got a car but no BREAD!!!!

Galahad-----right U R---insurance up and all that jazz---and he tells the kids---its all being taken outta their inheritance ---- :???:
Plus U have to see the spot where I have to pull it into----I will either hit the fence--or scruff pass the side of the opening that leads me into the garage--
Wash and clean!!! U say-----I have to look up those words---

As Doug said when he called---*did Dad buy his NEW TOY*????
When Doug *heard* the tone of my melodic voice--he knew to go no further!!!

Well what can ya do----

Good night/good morning---

Thank you for sharing such a good experience, Barbara. I had to laugh, too.

Did you managed to get some bread finally?

No?

Return the car then...

Wash and clean a vehicle? My husband of over 40years considers dirt to be a protective coating on a car. As for the inside of his vehicles.. well he doesn't believe in littering highways.. so the inside of his vehicles are like a DUMP!

Congrats on the new car Barbara. My Frank is just the opposite and very much protesting me wanting a new vehicle. Finally have no car payment and - knock on wood (my head) - we can stay that way for a while.

Love, Maggie

Hiya Sis,

Well, at least when you go shopping, you spend a lot less (on chotchkes).
LOL! I'm like you - I like the Honda Civic and I drive it at least 10 years. I only give it up when I'm forced to. Happy new car!

Love,

Polly

I had a Honda Prelude for 16 years and just loved it!

:driving:

They quit making the Prelude or else I would have bought another. I had close to 300,000 k with the original clutch! What a great car.
