Howdy....had a call today while I was out...the Head of a school in Salt Lake City called and wants me to call her at home!!!!! The school is very close to great ski areas! Oh, and their curriculum is impressive too...hahaha...I will call her tomorrow when I calm down. I am taking a 2 day sculpture workshop at the local CC and having a ball....worked with concrete and cool stuff today...nice and messy!

Salt Lake city is very close to some good Ski resorts. My daughter lives about 60, mi to the north, called Ogden Utah. Good Luck.....Love Oma

Jill,

Let's see...Alta, Park City, Snowbird, etc. All awesome! When I skiied Park City, I was told that Utah has the DRIEST snow, with 16 inches of snow needed to melt down to one inch of water (apparently the standard is 12 inches of snow melting to one inch of water). The packed powder is incredible - it literally SQUEAKS when you ski it. Good luck!

If you're mowing, you must have some spring weather. We don't have enough grass up to mow yet.

Hi...I called and the woman's husband said she is in NY..he gave me the number and said I should call her there....I did...no answer....left message...sigh....the saga continues! The school is in Sandy, Utah and is very, very close to Snowbird. :grin: someone said maybe 20-30 mins away! My sis wants me to get the job there so it is easy for her to visit me. She has a house in Tacoma and LA...she says Colorado is too far...hahahaha...nite.....JJ

Whew...made it through a long phone interview with the Head of the school in Utah...very nice woman...next the Academic Dean will call me....very exciting...haven't heard from any other schools yet. I'm relaxing and watching Dancing With the Stars....I am trying to not get too wound up about the job search. Ya right!

Morning...sorry about the bad storm in the East...the TV coverage is frightening...horrible storm! And...I feel terrible about the shooting on the VA Tech campus....unbelievable!

Polly, thanks for the snow info. I had no idea that Utah snow was that dry. I love to ski on packed powder... :grin:
