If You Eat Olives, Beware Of These

Botulism, as you are probably aware, can be fatal, since the toxins produced by the bacteria are the most potent, lethal substance known to medical science.

The article mentions constipation, as one of the possible symptoms. When I was in college, one of my roommates went home for a weekend to visit with his parents, and returned with botulism, that he caught from eating seafood, in his home town of Galveston, TX. His primary symptom was severe, bloody diarrhea, which prompted the University Health Center to figure out what was wrong, by doing a culture test.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Luckily we don't eat those brands of Olives. It so strange that one food product after another is being effected with toxins or poisons, think it's kind of weird. Makes you wonder whom might being doing this on purpose huh? Thanks for the article....if it wasn;t for people on this board I would never know what was good to eat and what was not. Love Oma :bear:
