my heart aches for VA.Tech

Post by barbaranoela »

I know we are all stunned as to this shooting----the whole story is unreal--

The reason why I feel so connected to VA Tech. is because last year while on our way to AZ.--we got enmeshed with a caravan of cars--school flags waving in the wind---parents--siblings--friends---all smiling and zipping along-----and it was the families of the VA. Tech. Football team going to another school for a big bash of a playoff----
The kids in the cars waved to us---they beeped their horns---Lou and I felt like we were included in this caravan and going to watch a son--brother--friend--we so enjoyed those waves--

The school mascot ( think it is a turkey)and saying made us smile----and then my friend, who lives in VA. sent me an article on the VA. Tech football team---

This whole massacre is crazy-----how could this sequence of events get so screwed up~~~~

I am so sorry for all ----

It has been on the news down here also. Really dreadful thing. It brings back the Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania when 35 people were killed and many injured. You would wonder how such a thing could happen.

Thank you Barbara for expressing it so well. All I can do is pray for the families of the victims, the students, and the college administration that will be subject to such "Monday morning quarterbacking." May god keep them in his embrace.

Love, Maggie

My heart goes out to all those involved. We have had similar incidents in Canada and I just can't fathom anything about these types of incidents. They just make me sick.
