Hi everyone - need some advice (question about my boob)

Post by peanut »

Hi ! I hope everyone is doing well ! I have a question - about 6 months ago, I found a lump in my boob, anyway, freaked out, went to my gyno, he aspirated it, it appeared to be just a cyst. Okay, then I had a mammogram - everything fine (about 6 months ago). Then, a few days ago, I found two lumps - in the same boob - feels the same, all that jazz - anyhoo, my question is this - I have an appt with my gyno on July 11 (unrelated to the boob thing), do you guys think it will be okay to wait till then ?

Anyone else ever have this problem ?

Thanks for any info !

Love,
Carla

Hiya Carla,

It's probably nothing, but I would call and ask your GYN if it is OK to wait.

Just my 2 cents worth. And try not to worry. Yeah right! Easy for me to say.

Hi Polly !

I'm not worried ! I think I will call just to make sure ! Anyhoo, after I posted that, it kinda dawned on me that maybe saying "question about my boob" might have not been the best choice of words ! Oh well, I am pretty much straight forward that way - old habits are hard to break ! I only hope I didn't offend anyone

Well! I NEVER! I am SO OFFENDED. NOT!!!!

I actually found it quite refreshing to read something so candid and open - keep up the blunt talk. I mean, when we get into the gorey details of our disease, dignity and pride go right out the window - no place for that in here!

I agree ! Believe it or not, I used to be painfully shy - didn't even like letting my hubby know I was using the bathroom ! But, after two plus years with LC & Celiac, I don't care who knows ! Seriously, I have found it is much better to be blunt in most situations ! No beating around the bush here !

Hi Carla. Since it sounds like what you had before, you're probably safe waiting. But as long as it's on your mind, why not call your GYN right now and ask? Then you'll know for sure (about the waiting) and you won't have to worry if you've done the right thing. Good luck and keep us posted.

I called...

Post by peanut »

Just wanted everyone to know I called, he said it was okay to wait till my appt., but that if it got bigger before then to call and he would want to see me before my appt:lol:

I just want to say I think it is great to have a place where we can talk about anything, not just MC !

It is such a relief to know I can say the word BOOB  and not offend anyone too much !

OMG did you say BOOB - I don't think we can say BOOB here - the word BOOB might offend someone - maybe someone who doesn't have BOOBS.

I Agree with everyone, call and ask first. I had a lump and called my gyno and asked that question also. Good luck...it's probably the same as the other one. Let us know dear. Love Oma

OMG, she said BOOB !!!!!

It could have been worse. Like "tit", for instance. I really hate that one.

Keep us posted, Carla.

Wellllllllllll,

I really don't have much to be calling a BOOB, but, at least when I am 90 years old, I won't have much to sag either ! :bashful:

I will try to control myself and not say the TIT word  Well, I knew that wouldn't last, I couldn't help myself !

Peg,

I'll bet that those here who don't have boobs would LOVE reading about boobs, so I doubt that we are offending them. LOL!

Love,

Polly
