Sample Paleolithic/Yeast-Free Menus?

Sample Paleolithic/Yeast-Free Menus?
Hi,
For those of you who've had success with the Paleo diet and/or the corn-, gluten-, dairy-, yeast- and soy-free diets, would you mind listing what you eat in a typical day? I'm always confused by my options. I have books on the Paleo diet, but I'm curious to hear what you all eat, especially for breakfast.
I'm gluten-, dairy-, yeast-, and soy-free but I'm somewhat stumped by what it means to give up yeast. I'm working on cutting out sugar, and next will be alcohol. Is fruit OK on the yeast-free diet?

After copious amounts of green tea while reading the morning papers for breakfast I always eat a meat, fish or chicken with vegetables and sometimes a fruit. It's usually leftovers from the last nights dinner.
For lunch also a protein with greens and fruit.
Dinner is about the same as breakfast- learned to prepare it keeping in mind that leftovers will be my breakfast.
Have you seen this paleo site?

Do you eat tofu? How about vinegar? Eggs? Nuts?
Sounds like there's no convenience foods on the Paleo. I'm actually following (staring next week after I plan out my meals) the intestinal candida diet, which is the same as the Paleo, but it prohibits vinegar and allows tofu.
I'm not the greatest cook, so this will be a big challenge. It's a very time consuming diet. But, so is having D 6 times per day!

Yeast is unavoidable as it's on so many natural foods, but certainly, the packaged kind that's added to things like in baker's yeast or brewer's yeast is easily avoided.
I tend to eat more vegetables as compared to fruits, but do eat lots more of those during the summer months in smoothies, and don't seem to have a problem with the natural yeast that's got to be in those.
I just lost a long message, but it was just my typical menu. Will have to save that for another time IF I can ever get back online again.
Basically, it's just uninjected meats, seasoned with unadulterated seasonings along with frozen veggy combinations, potatoes, beans or corn (for me), etc. There are a whole lot of veggies out there that we seldom eat as we tend to eat the same things all the time. Now I eat more types of veggies for the variety, and love it. Wish I'd done this long ago!

No tofu here- a soy product. Use a little vinegar with oils as dressings on foods without a problem. Eggs seem to be okay for me but don't eat them often, stay away from nuts now because they often upset my stable apple cart- probably the lectins?Magyar wrote:Hi Joanna,

Luce made a good point, if you suspect your having problems with candida and yeast it would be a wise move to avoid fruits.
