our community has lost 2 teenagers - SAD!

Post by CAMary »

One is the sister of my oldest son's classmate. She died a week ago in her sleep of unknown causes. She was 15, an honor student and musically talented. How shocking and sad!

The music teacher's son was killed in a car crash on Friday. Apparently it was a situation involving a car full of teens going too fast - the others were all seriously injured...alcohol was NOT a factor.

We have a close-knit school community- I don't want any more emails bearing sad news  I feel badly for my son's former teacher. She taught the 15 y.o. girl (as well as the younger sister) and knew the family well. Before she taught third grade she WAS the music teacher herself. She is very close to the man who now has her job, and together they put on a fabulous end of year musical with 120 kids. I'm sure she didn't think she'd spend her summer vacation going to memorial services

Oh Mary, that is so sad. It breaks my heart when a parent has to bury a child.

Hugs to you and your community as they struggle through these hard times.

That is so sad, Mary :(

I recall when I was a teen in high school and we lost a couple of peers in a car accident. Now, I didn't KNOW these girls very well, but had known OF them since I was in 5th grade, and surprisingly, it hit me pretty hard!!! It's hard to grasp your own mortality at that age, but having a peer die brings you into reality, and you realize it's a possibility, with you, with your friends, your family, with anyone, and it makes you very sad, whether you knew the people involved or not.. I can't imagine how sad it must be for those who knew them...

Oh Mary,

How incredibly sad. It's every parent's nightmare. I just went through my son's senior prom and senior week at the beach with my breath held the entire time. Our community was fortunate - no tragedies. Didn't you have another teen death not too long ago? I am so sorry..........

Love,

Polly

Dear Mary.

I am so sad for you and your community. It's a terrible thing to lose those who are so young and full of promise. Our children are not supposed to go before we do.

Lots of hugs for you and all.

Love,

Sally

oh Mary,
So sorry to read about the loss of the young people, death is sad enough when the person is old but for those young people it is a tragedy.

My thoughts and prayer's are with you.

God Bless.
Love Bobbie.
