Tornado warning at work

Post by annie oakley »

Hi Ya'll...I work In a 6 floor tower bldg with glass all around. At around 1:30 or so I looked up from my computer screen and it looked like it was 10:00 at night. We were under a tornado warning. We never heard the sirens and a tornado did not hit thank goodness....Yesterday a tornado touched down outside of Ballinger and tonight we got home to no power at all. Dogs were huddled on the couch. There were alot of limbs and brancges laying on the ground, large puddled water in the field. Mike started up the generator and we got power. He went out awhile ago and checked the meter...off went the generator and thanks to coleman county co-op we have power back. Love ya oma

SO relieved the tornado bypassed you. It is so scary when they are in the area. We had a warning a few weeks ago that one was about 10 miles away and headed in our general direction. That sounds pretty far away but it seems close when it is actually out there and you don't know where it's going.

Sure glad that one in Ballinger stayed away from you too, but sounds like you got some of the "effects". It's great that you have a generator. We've never had one but I've seen times when I'd like to have had one.

Please take care, Oma.
