Calling Margie!!!!

Post by barbaranoela »

When I was in hospital(04) and the decision was to get into my lungs---so surgery time was IT!!!!

VOCAL CORDS--I am always coughing--clearing--@ times get *froggy* -
I had to see GI a few months after for an endoscopy or as he called it a GASCOSCOPY??? (which I nerver heard of) and thats when he told me my VOCAL CORDS were brusied---
This all due to the fact that the Thorasic Dr. was trying to shove the tube down my throat--to keep lungs from collapseing--(so I was told)--BUT it wouldnt go down cus I have a very narrow esophogus---so they had to get a PEDIATRIC tube to go down---

Im glad I wasnt awake as he was trying this

I hope your throat---tonsils and everything else mends nicely and that U start to feel better--

There should be an *easier* way to look up and down

Staying healthy sure makes one feel ROTTEN!!!

I had a bad experience with a breathing tube when I had polyps removed from my vocal chords. There was no emergency so I don't know why they had such a hard time. Anyway, after I woke up the Dr. told me I was going to be in a LOT of pain (and I was - for a week or better) and gave me an Rx for pain pills. I ate so much egg salad that I don't even like it now. It seemed to be the only thing that went down fairly easy.

I have had a breathing tube since with no problems afterward so I think it was incompetance.

Hi ladies!

I'm doing somewhat better today - the gas bubble is receding but still there - taking Gas-X to try to help.

My throat is still rather sore - ate eggs for breakfast and it still was rough swallowing - I think he really scratched it with the tube! Hopefully things will continue to be better as the day wears on - I have tons to do to get ready for the work week - back tomorrow.

My kids are leaving for Kentucky on Tuesday so I'm fixing a nice dinner for them, laundry and making pepperoni bread for my grandson. No rest for the wicked as the saying goes!

Thanks for thinking of me!

Oh Shirley - if you only knew.............I am one of the laziest people on the planet - I only tell you when I'm working!!!!!!!!!! I tend to work during the week and come home and vegg out on the couch for the remainder of the night and then bust my butt on the weekend to get ready to do it all over again! LOL

I'm still waiting on my books for the accounting course I'm taking - they are backordered and neglected to tell me until I called and inquired (well, actually complained!) They apologized - of all the nerve - they should have told me when I called the other 2 times!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Love,
