Blood Tests & Coffee

Post by Magyar »

Hi,

Has anyone undergone food allergy blood tests? I had it done by ImmunoLabs and, among other things, coffee showed up. So, I've switched to green tea but I really miss coffee. I don't think the test is 100 percent accurate but was curious if anyone has found the results to be helpful in identifying triggers.

Also, where do you stand on coffee? I think some versions of the Paleo diet forbit it. Has anyone found it beneficial to quit drinking it?

Thanks,

Wow, coffee, never heard of an allergy to that. What type of test was it? IgA, IgG, IgE?

Hi,

It was IgG. I'm not sure how accurate it is. Other things showed up, too: pork, mushrooms, cheese, etc. I've been avoiding all of it but struggle with coffee.
