Weird, weird, weird...I got a call from my next door neighbor this morning asking why the fire dept was at my house last night...I said ...what! I slept through it? They said the truck was on the side of my house and they had my garden hose out...bizarre. I called the fire dept and they said there wasn't a call to my address. They couldn't tell me if there was a fire in my other neighbor's house. So, I figure that someone must have thrown out a cigarette and it must have landed in the hedge between our yards (they had a party last night). All I know is that the firemen put my hose back nicer than I ever have.
Also was asked to interview for the job up north, but it's only for 14 hrs/ week. I also met with the owner of the art school up the road and he is still interested in hiring me...something has to work out.

Wouldn't it be something if you ended up working "up the road"....... You wouldn't have to move and you'll save on gas. That may not be a small consideration soon.

With all of the stresses you have had recently, it is good to know that at least you are sleeping well! LOL! I haven't posted much lately because I have taken on too many other activites at the present time, but I do lurk regularly, especially to follow the progress of your job hunt. Hopefully, some good news is just around the corner.

Hi, I wondered where you were Polly!
The latest is that a school near Seattle wants to interview me for a part time job. I may do it just to get my name out there. It is a school for highly capable kids and I have some done some work with gifted students. But...it is only 14 hrs a week! I may ask if there is some other position open, even a teacher's aide psition that could fill-in the gap. I am also waiting to hear from the guy at the private art school not far away...I don't know exactly what he is looking for or how many hrs....he will contact me. Meanwhile, I have been summoned to Jury Duty for the first time in my life. It hits right during mysummer art camp...the assist head of school will write a letter for me to be excused...I hate to postpone it because I may be packing! Yikes...too much going on...
