Drinking Unpasturized Milk Seems To Prevent Allergies

Post by tex »

This phenomenon is probably linked with the tendency for modern civilization to try to be "too" sanitary.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Yeah raw milk

I was raised on raw milk, and raise Irish Dexter Cattle just so that I can have a daily supply of fresh raw milk for the show dogs, my service dog and myself. I know that it has been implicated in helping with joint pain of DJD and being a sufferer of that, I can say that it does help.

Yep, I was also raised on raw milk. Back in those days, most farms were almost self-sufficient. We went to town mostly to get things like flour and seasonings. We raised our own fruit, vegetables, and meat, and made our own sausage, and cured our own bacon and hams. With salt cures, and smoking, they didn't even need refrigeration. These days, most farms specialize in one or two particular crops, and almost all of the daily food needs are purchased at the grocery store. <sigh>

I hear you sweetheart, between my siblings farm and ours, we raise our own hogs, beef, lambs, chickens, eggs and both goat and cows milk. Being a true carnavore, I don't waste time raising those silly veggies and fruit, because I don't eat them... Seems very sad that so many people these days don't even know where their food comes from, they just think that steak their eating comes packaged and ready to cook, not that it was attached to a critter at some point in time.
