Update on Me
Well, just got home from the doctor. I'm anemic, and am bleeding heavily because of fibroid tumors (which I knew I had). My pulse and blood pressure are good right now, so I'm just to take in easy the rest of the week and stay home from work. I see him again on Friday.
However, if the bleeding picks up again (wouldn't you know it stopped while I was there, but now has started due to the poking and prodding) he will likely do an emergency D&C to stop it.
Then in the near future I have to decide how I want to treat the fibroids.
UGH.

I feel for you...I suffered with those for years. My doc never told me I had them. They have lots of new treatments for fibroids. I was so sick of the years of horrible periods, I elected to have a hysterectomy. BAD decision...that is when all my health problems started. Your still very young so hopefully that isn't even an option.
Rest and relax, take good care. Doc did give you a good iron supplement right? Anemia makes one very tired and weak.

I'm with Lori, I chose a hysterectomy and that's when my problems started. Unfortunately, that was my mid-20's. Kind of early but it helped some of my problems but created new ones. I'm sure that treatment options are quite large compared to 20 some years ago. (whoops - I'm telling my age!) hehe
Take care of yourself. Staying off of your feet will help the blood flow and the cramping and will enable you to rest and regain your strength.
Love and ((((((((((((((katy))))))))))))))) to ya!
Signing off now - the of experience has spoken!!!! (love these smilies!)

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Oh fooey Katy.....I also have fibroids, but have had only slight extra bleeding, more along the lines of extended light periods. The gyno. didn't do anything, because they aren't severe....I am close enough to menopause that they hope they will start to shrink on their own. Take it easy this week kiddo....take care....Jill
