Hello everyone, its old Gentle hugs back again friends
First I would like to say I am happy to be here, and so this is where you all have been hiding, lol. I kept looking for you at the old board and would go back days and days and couldn't find you anywhere. So I am happy to be here. Yahoo!
Now mt BIG NEWS so that everyone here can know, since it is still a big secret, Amanda, my oldest daughter is expecting in Feb. At least we think it is Feb. But are waiting till she is farther along before we make the announcement to the rest of the family. So you are privelged to know, ha ha, since none of my family knows about this and would not have access to it either. Boy are they going to be surprised when they hear, but since Amanda has problems we don't want to say anything too soon, just in case. She had to take fertility meds to even ovulate, and she did not have a monthly so we are guessing that she is about 5 weeks, or maybe 6, will know once she has her next ultrsound. But she is already showing, so I don't know how much longer she can hide the fact. Its so cute, her little belly sticking out. We had to go out and buy some maternity pants, as everything she has is fitted and she can't wear them without a great deal of discomfort.
We are also waiting to see if twins are in there. Wouldn't that be cool, they say there is a good chance with fertility meds, but we also have a zillion twins in our family. Well maybe a zillion is too much, but lots anyway. My mom, my two brothers, my brother has a set of twins and my mom has twin brothers, and my grandma had another set of twins die, and my mom's twin died too. And then she has a brother who had two sets of twins. Sooooooooooooooooooooo, we will see. The wedding is going to be later on in Sept. That will give time for the baby to be around 6 months and her time to get ready for the wedding. She has ordered her wedding dress. It is beautiful, they call the colour diamond white, and there is embroidery and clear crystals on the bodice and from the waist they gradually go out then are all along the bottom and the back of the train. On the train they gradually go up to the waist. The embroidery is in a pewter colour, and the train will be pinned up later on to make a bussle in the back that shows off all the lovely beading and embroidery. She is having a maid of honour, her sister, and then three other women, and a flower girl, who is her niece from Ed's sister. She will be a little over 5 for the wedding. I am going to be making her flower girl dress and one to match her little sister who will be 1 and 1/2 by then. They are both just adorable little girls. And then depending on what Amanda has, I will be making a little outfit for him/her. This is all so cool. And I am very excited about it all.
As for me, I see the Neurosurgeon tomorrow morning to see what he can do for my lower back and neck. If he will try to give me injections to help with the pain, or if he can help me stop the numbing that I get that makes it hard to walk. Anything will be better then always losing the feelings in my legs and hands and arms. So we will see what he thinks tomorrow. I hope that he can just give me injections, as the next step they will be looking at is back surgery. Don't want that, it will be the last thing we will go for.
I now have an eye doctor too, on Friday they are going to test my eyes for corneal problems, and since they are swelling still besides blood vessels forming, they have to check to make sure that there is not any other thing going on, like little rips and tears the doctor said. But the one thing that is certain is that I am as blind as a bat, no question there.
My Bowel problems seem to be under control, not taking asacol at the present time, although that changes day by day. I just adjust the dose if I need to. But so far its under control.
Pebbles is still having major allergy problems and I have resorted to making her food. I make up a batch, and freeze it in one cup servings. But she is allergic to stuff outside as well, so she has to take some meds every day. She is still just as cuddly as ever, and my good buddy.
My parents are not doing so well, and am hoping to be able to go down soon, but right now money is tight with having to fork out all the money for seeing the eye doctor and paying for my glasses and so forth. So it won't be till next month that I can perhaps go up to stay with them. I am now on my 3rd month of not smoking and doing well with that so far. I am eating allot of carrots and celery to stave off the munchies that go along with quiting, but it hasn't changed my weight at all. I am still chubby.
On the male front, the man I was seeing last year has recontacted me and wants to see me, as he did not end up going back with his wife, they were going to give it one more try and it didn't work out. I am taking it real slow though, I do not want to see him if there is any chance he is going back with his wife, but if it is over for good, then maybe. But they have been separated for close to two years now, and he says he wants to move on, and we shall see. I don't trust too much these days, so its one step at a time.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and tell you my big news, and then its is time to try and sleep as my appointment is early tomorrow morning. It sure is good to be back in friendly waters.
Lots of love and plently of hugs
Wendy

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Wow!
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for catching us up on you!
Sure hope those docs are able to fix you up. It's the pits not to be able to see, and have numbness like that.
You've certainly got lots of excitement in your life right now.
Enjoy it all!
Good to see you posting here.
Yours, Luce

Sounds if the MC is in pretty good control. That's good too.

Wow, Wendy, what great news!!! I hope it's twins for her sake, then she might feel satisfied with that and no need to try anymore.. and with her showing SO EARLY, it sounds like twins are CERTAINLY a possibility!!!! (my first pregnancy, I didn't show for 6 MONTHS)
So good luck to you and the mom/wife to be!!! Sounds like she has LOTS of exciting times ahead of her!!!

Wendy, Wendy, I am so EXCITED To see you here where you belong. We have missed your gentle hugs!!
back!!
I love that you are going to be a grandma and I will keep everything crossed that this pregnancy go well from here on out.
It also sounds like you have found some doctors who are taking care of you. I am sorry that you have so many problems, but I hope that they can be addressed one at a time.
Give Pebbles a big scritch behind her ears.
And I, too, have a boyfriend looming on the horizon. Hee hee. Yes, take it easy. I am, too.
Lots of love and gentle hugs,
Sally

Hi Wendy,
Wow, you have a lot of news! Congratulations on the new baby-to-be! I am loving spending time with our new granddaughter. She's our first. Is this your first? She changes absolutely every day now. She just turned one month old and she is really looking at things now--she's awake and alert more. It is too much fun.
Hope you get some help with your pain.
