Why do some things just never go right......

Post by Carol Arnett »

Harry had his gallbladder surgery last night. The doctor said it was tricky doing it laporoscopically because of all the scar tissue from other surgeries but that at least it worked. Had to use 5 holes instead of the usual 3.

He had told us he would keep him overnight because of the surgery being so late and because of his other health issues. Well, guess what....he is still there and MIGHT come home tomorrow. He has developed some congestion in his lungs and his ozygen level is in the high 80`s. Not so great. He wasn`t a happy camper but hopefully with some breathing treatments overnight he will be better tomorrow. Love, Carol

Good Morning Carol!
Sorry that Harry has to stay a little longer at the Clinic!! I'm sure the both of you are ready to be done with the set backs and Harry can move on to recovery.. What area is Harry in?
We will be at the Clinic today for Jack's cystogram at 11am in the H area, and then his follow up with the surgeon at 1:15 in the Crile building.
I know Harry didn't have a choice when it came to the laproscopic gall bladder surgery. He will heal much quicker with that procedure.
We chose the robotic assisted laproscopic procedure for Jack's prostate surgery instead of the radiation seeds option just because of that leaving scar tissue . After having the seeds implanted, if cancer came back in another area of the prostate, surgery would not be able to be performed because of the scar tissue.
We're praying that Jack receives a good path report and that he can get his cath and JP drain removed today.
Wish that you & I would have the opportunity to meet today, even for a few minutes at some point....
I'll be thinking of you both!!

Love
Dee~~~

May both of your husbands be well and recover quickly from their bouts with the medical community.

My prayers are with you both and it would be great if you both got to meet while there.

Love, Maggie

Hi Dee, Harry is not in the Clinic this time but in our local hospital. It is only 5 minutes from home and we can see it from our back yard.

I hope everything goes perfectly with Jack. The two of you have been in my prayers. Love, Carol

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
