missed you all lots
Hi everyone god i have really missed you all, i know im not very active on the board but i have really missed not being able to pop in and catch up with you all
I have only just got back on line after the house move.
just let you know whats been happening.
I sold my other house because it was old and needed a lot of work doing to it which i could'nt afford so to my way of thinking was to buy a newer house and have some money in the bank. Well that turned out to be a joke because i must have been drunk or just demented when i came to look at this place i just did'nt see what a tip it was, the day i moved in i cryed for 4 hours non stop well i thought no good keep crying have got to get on with it now so the bit of money i had over from the sale of the old house just went befor i knew where i was god there are times when i wish i was a builder anyway the money just went and i have still got loads to do but i will get there and now im doing it myself with the help of Jack my son that is when we are not argueing.
I am still looking after my sister who had the stroke but i just go to her house in the morning and get her up and then i go back on the night time and put her to bed, she is a lot better than she was considering the hospital told us she would never be able to do anything, i did a lot of reading on exercise and massage and now she can stand and walk a few steps with a walking stick and a little help, but she just wont accept her condition so we do standing exercise everyday, it can be very trying but she is my sister and i love her so i will carryon doing what ever i can for her although if there is anyone who can tell me what the right side of the brain controls i would be greatfull.
Well its good to be back i hope you are all well and safe where ever you are.
Love to you all

Bobbie! It's great to hear from you again!
I've been wondering how in the world you were doing.
Wow! You've been staying busy, haven't you.
Here's some information on the effects of a stroke on the right side of the brain, and it explains why your sister is having so much trouble adjusting to her current situation:

Thank you so much for the update, and I hope you can log in much more often. How is your own health, these days?
Love,
Tex

Wow! You've been staying busy, haven't you.
Here's some information on the effects of a stroke on the right side of the brain, and it explains why your sister is having so much trouble adjusting to her current situation:
This quote is from the following website:Effects of Right Hemisphere Strokes
The right hemisphere of the brain controls the movement of the left side of the body so stroke in the right hemisphere often causes paralysis in the left side of the body. This is known as left hemiplegia.
Survivors of right-hemisphere strokes may also have problems with their spatial and perceptual abilities. This may cause them to misjudge distances (leading to a fall) or be unable to guide their hands to pick up an object, button a shirt or tie their shoes. They may even be unable to tell right side up from upside-down when trying to read.
Along with these physical effects, survivors of right-hemisphere strokes often have judgment difficulties that show up in their behaviour. They often act impulsively, unaware of their impairments and certain of their ability to perform the same tasks as before the stroke. This can be extremely dangerous. It may lead them to try to walk without aid or to try to drive a car.
Survivors of right-hemisphere strokes may also experience left-sided neglect. This is a result of visual difficulties that cause them to "forget" or "ignore" objects or people on their left side.
Some survivors of right-hemisphere strokes will experience problems with short-term memory. Although they may be able to recall a visit to the seashore that took place 30 years ago, they may be unable to remember what they ate for breakfast that morning.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
It's great hearing from you Bobbie!
It sounds like you don't have a spare minute! Hope your health is good!
Stay in touch.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
YAY! Bobbie's back!
We have missed you. Sorry things didn't work out the way you had hoped with your house. Glad to hear that Sis is doing so well. And how about YOU? Last time we heard from you you were having a rough go of it with the MC.
Love,
Polly

Hi Barbara, Polly, Shirley, Mars, i hope all the newbies on this board realise what a wonderful lot you all are.
Well my MC has,nt been too bad because i am on so many pain killers for my back, although i did end up in hospital last week just could,nt stop being sick got very dehydrated and my blood pressure droped so low they keep me in.
I went in hospital in April to have a hernia repair done but instead she removed a very large lypoma it must have been very large because she forgot about the hernia so i still have to go back and have the hernia done. but that is just for the day. but im fine.
I have,nt had time to catch up on all the news yet. but i hope everyone is well and happy.
nite nite for now and god bless
love Bobbie.

Hi Bobbie
We haven't had an opportunity to get to know each other yet, but I've been bad about checking in.
Sounds like a bad experience with your new house. I hope you've got it the way you want it now. Here in Canada, we have to have a house inspection before a sale. Saves a lot of headaches.
Anyway, you sure sound like a busy lady.
Nice that you are helping your sister. Strokes can be nasty. Is she going for physio? Very important to get moving and retraining those brain cells.
Well, nice to meet you and I'll keep in touch on the Board better.
Love,
Momster

Do something nice for you today
