Post-op visit & final pathology...
And it is ALL good news
Surgeon took 9 lymph nodes and all of them came back clear
No further malignant cells found in any of the tissue, either!!
I hadn't heard from them, and figured "no news is good news" - I'm glad I didn't call to inquire since he said they did find some cells in one of the lymph nodes - they had to send it out for a more detailed analysis - apparently they were some benign skin cells or something (?) - kinda of unusual - but totally harmless. If I had called and they said they had to send it out because something was found in one of the nodes, I would have been "freaking out" - leave it to me to have something weird!! I think all of my pathology had to be sent out for further testing/second opinion...
No further treatment needed. I just need to finish up with the plastic surgeon, and see my main surgeon every 6 months for him to check my scar. Oh yeah - and my chance of recurrence? Less than 1% lifetime - basically I'd be more likely to be struck by lightning....
This appointment truly gave me closure, and I feel like the nightmare is behind me...I've even gained back 2.5 of the 8 pounds I lost (unintentionally!) from the stress of everything.
Life is good!!

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
