Ottertail County?

Post by tex »

Joanna,

I have to say, I believe you've won the 2007 competition for the "niftiest county name" contest. While my own county of residence has a name that I previously considered to connote character, and historical significance, (Bell), it pales to mediocrity and even mundanity, in comparison with yours.
I'll trade with you, any day.

No doubt about it - you have a knack for living in great places.

Love,
Tex

 I agree. I saw the posts mentioning "Ottertail County" and it really made me smile due to the mental images it brought to the surface. I am definitely talking about otters here and not being a "smarty".

Hope you are settling in, Joanna, and loving your new home.

Even though it not be a county I still think Cockeyesville is also in the running of top names to be located in!!!

Good Luck Joanna--and happy settleing into your new place--

Barbara, I have to admit that Cockeyesville is an EXCELLENT candidate for # 1 name for a town.

P.S. Joanna mentioned the county she is living in now in the "Birthday" greetings.

A quick hello all, from Otter Tail County.

I've been trying for days to post to the board on a temporary dial up connection through our home with no success- not sure why it let me on now, but am glad. Been thinking about you all.

Things are going fine here and will check back in as soon as I can. The dial up here is literally not usable and we are on a wait list for a wireless hook up hopefully within the next week or so. Funny, I had better internet amenities in Alaska than rural MN.

Love,
Joanna
