Belated Happy Canada Day

Post by Momster »

A Happy Canada Day to all you Canucks on the Board. A lot of us were out celebrating yesterday, so didn't get to wish each other here a great day.
We had a quiet day - just went out and enjoyed the beautiful weather -
happy it was a nice day.

Love

Momster

I hope everyone north of the border thoroughly enjoyed the day. I can't help but notice that Canada had the foresight to hold the celebration on a Monday, to give everyone the benefit of a long weekend. Here in the States, we'll be celebrating on Wednesday, which makes for kind of a chopped-up week. But . . . we'll take our holidays when ever we can get 'em. LOL.

Love,

Yep - it doesn't always work that way

Yes, our Canada Day did fall on a good day - Peggy and Ronny went away for the weekend and, at one point, enjoyed a ball game and beer garden. They're probably home by now.
We just avoided the traffic and stayed home. Went out for a nice dinner tonight.

I'll be look forward to your July 4th also - we live so close to the US border we can hear and see some of the fireworks from our place. We live just near the WA border and can see some of the celebrations at Sumas, WA, which is only a 15 minute drive from us.

Love,

Momster

Thanks All! (and Mom)

We ended up staying in town but did get out to see some great Canada Day celebrations. Wide Mouth Mason, Kim Mitchell, and April Wine played some oldies, but goodies, at a big rodeo fairgrounds we went to on Sunday.

I took advantage of the fact that everyone thought we were away and did a number of things around the homestead. It was a good weekend... course isn't every 4-day weekend a good one
